Picking Your Battles

If you fought every fight worth fighting, you would be exhausted, pretty beat up and frustrated at the same battles up on the docket for the next day all over again. Some are the definition of futility, meant to distract and frustrate. So, I pick my battles. And here is my criteria… “Is this eternally valuable?” That is it. With my kids, is it eternally valuable that I need to step in and intervene or teach or correct. With my husband, is it eternally valuable or just my pride revving up? I only approach the eternally valuable argument where I am allowed and pray for the rest. In every area of life, I am reserving energy for eternally valuable battles. That does not mean I do not fight for what is right or stand up for Jesus, it means I focus on staying in close relationship with Him and allow Him to lead me to the eternally valuable fights with His strength. This assures I am not exhausted but always ready to fight and have God with me as I do so. I believe we are responsible for what we devote our energy toward and will answer for misspent energy expentitures. Some fights are definitely worth it but not every fight is. Choose the eternally valuable battles and stay close to Jesus in constant prayer and sometimes fasting and that is the best we can do. ❤

Falling vs Fighting to Win Any Battle

Being humble is the key to winning every single battle. And allow me to clarify. Being humble is in no way, shape or form the same thing as being weak. It is being so very powerful, using every ounce of strength enough to fall before the Ultra-Powerful God of the universe and admit you need help and ask Him for it. Then He fights for you and He wins for you any possible battle ever. And the shame is that most people will not allow God to prove this truth in their lives. They prideful want to cling to each battle and keep it going for years and keep trying or running (addiction fantasies) for years, getting depressed or beat down or bitter or ruined. The winning is so simple if you choose it but it requires taking off the pride and clothing with humility and falling before God. So simple. So true. So beautiful. Worth a go, truly. It works. My life attests to this truth.❤

Divisiveness is Evil

God unites. His enemies divide. “United we stand!” Is truth. As is “Divided we fall”. The enemy, the evil forces of this world, all evil is united in its front to divide all of us. Evil wants division so all countries and their people are destroyed and they can rule. But I have a secret. God is still in charge. And if God’s sleeping children wake up and start praying and return to God, the division will not be successful and God will heal this land. God restores and unites. God heals and loves. We should be tired of playing into the hand of the destructive forces around us who around much weaker and damaging than we ever realized. God is all powerful and love, the Creator who builds. His side is the aide to rally toward. Truth and love need promotion on every level. We are called to that. It is a command. Proclaim truth and show live everywhere we go. We must do this today, right now. Pray. Our unity depends upon it. Truth and love must be promoted to yield hope. God will do it if we humbly pray. We must.

The Story of Two Wrongs vs One Right

“Two wrongs don’t make a right” has rung in my ears and has committed to knowledge at a young age. There is wrong and right. “Bad” people are just those who decided to commit a wrong, an offence that has reprocussions. The one attacked in some way is the victim. And vengeance belongs to the Lord, who will repay an unrepentant act some day and eternally. That is the idea. For the victim to repay now does not make the crime right or atoned for. That being said, my dad was a Marine and when my sister’s boyfriend beat her, he whooped him then called the police. And when I would see kids picked on growing up and then later, I always stepped in to see justice was done. There is something within some or maybe many of us that wants wrong to be punished and right to be the norm. And I attribute this to our makeup, having all been created by God, the Holy One, the good One. We all know right from wrong attributed something in us says, “That is wrong” or “That is right”. Those who choose to do wrong will be punished by God someday, even if they get away with it now. So it is in His hands. And as I have grown closer to Him, I bow humbly to His direction and control. I want to let Him do what He will. I wish for God’s will to be done. I believe that is what Jesus meant by “turn the other cheek”. To stop someone doing wrong in their tracks to minimize damage but then let God deal with their fate and not us pursue further harm. God cannot change their heart back if they are dead. Then it is too late. So stopping them and then allowing law enforcement to do their job allows a chance for contemplation and hopefully repentence. This made sense to me after years of working this out. So I wanted to share my findings for those who have also pondered this. Attitude of the heart is really the heart of the matter, pun intended. Lol ❤

Don’t Wrestle Alligators

When bad guys come against you, do not fight their game. You wouldn’t wrestle an alligator, you would shoot it. They are just too good at wrestling and those muscles and jaws are powerful. But if it attacks you relentlessly, you would use an appropriate weapon that you have ready. When evil comes against you, do not fight it with its tools of lies and deceit and manipulation, it is their strengths. You fight with truth, the Bible. Always fight lies with truth. It is the only thing that will defeat it. Fight with the right weapon appropriated you will win. Love you. Hang in there. Jesus is Coming soon. ❤❤❤

Picking the Wrong Battles to Fight

My daddy was a boxing instructor in the Marines, so we watched a lot of boxing back in the day. So I love boxing analogies. Lol And in general, the key to never losing a fight is to pick the right fight. Yeah, sometimes people will surprise you and get in a good hit anyway, but you have done your best to minimize damage and be victorious. So in life, we need to conserve our energy and pick the right fight. There are many out there. Many. Any number of fights to be had. And what someone’s outer appearance is or whether they know proper etiquette or what translation of Bible they read (despiteth howest thou likest the perfecteth KJV, becauseth everyone talkest thusly) or what the name is on the church. These things do not matter at all. Not one bit. There are real issues no one is talking about. There is a sin problem, an avoiding church problem, a my kids can beat a video game in 2 days straight but don’t know a Bible verse problem, an abortion problem, and here’s the biggest one of all, a problem of people choosing sin and eternal hell to humble repentance (contrition) and eternal heaven. This is a huge problem. This is a good fight to take on. Because Jesus already won this one for them, they just need truth and prayer to open their hearts and accept it. As a big picture person, I rarely get hung up majoring on the minors, but I am not always fighting what I should be fighting. But way too much attention is being put on inconsequential matters and not enough people are fighting for people’s eternal soul destination. There attention only two options: heaven or hell and I don’t and God doesn’t want anyone to go there because of His great love for us. I love because He loves. Fight that fight. Help them if you can, win their hearts for God who longs for more children to adopt. I don’t want anyone going to hell. I will fight that fight. ❤

Kicking To The Curb That Which Should be Kicked

If something plagues you, torments you, tempts you, gets the best of you, pervades your thinking, bests you, threatens to defeat you, punishes you unjustly, dampens your spirits, excites your body too much, whatever it is, to this thing/person/idea/voice you may feel free to kick it to the curb. I had to. It needs that. That which is in need of being kicked should rightly be kicked. If you can’t, bring it to me or a trusted friend and I’ll or they’ll do it. Happy to. I have been there. Recently. Kick it. There is the concept in the Bible “If your right hand/eye causes you to sin, cut it off for it is better to lose your hand/eye than for your whole body to be thrown to hell.” Why hang on to that which threatens eternity? Just let it go, like that Frozen song. Let it go. Kick it to the curb. Tell it OUT LOUD to leave in Jesus’ name. If it come back, which it will, tell it again. Keep doing that and read your Bible and pray to God for help. Stay away from it. Don’t entertain that internal terrorist. “We do not negotiate with terrorists” is another valid argument. Cease and decist. I just wanted to encourage anyone who needed it. God loves you and will help as soon as you humbly ask Him to. I will pray for you too. Love you, friend! ❤
