The decisions we make change our present and our future. Imagine how different our lives would be if we never made that bad decision or stuck to our original plans or said no to that costly detour or any myriad of decision changes or detour options. I wonder about this. I believe I would be a physician and probably run an inter-city free clinic with a huge family full of foster kids and adopted kids. This was my dream before men detoured me (my fault, not theirs- don’t think me deceived now). But I think we all have a God-given plan that we can follow or not follow. So then, when we figure this all out from another place entirely at a later time, is it too late? Have we ruined it? Well, here is the answer I believe to be true. God looks at the heart. Our heart can get off course but it can also humbly obey and thus be beautiful to Him. And wherever we end up, our heart is still His focus. Do you love me now? Do you want to obey now? Are you humble and worshipping now? If so, God will give you a new vision, goal, dream, purpose that will help His people or worship Him. And we must ask forgiveness and move forward in obedience. God is way bigger than you having one chance to get it right or He’s finished with you. There is only one way to be saved eternally through Jesus, but everything else is flexible. God can use what you have gone through for a new, richer, deeper purpose. Don’t beat yourself up. God sure doesn’t. When you and forgiveness, it is now invisible, gone, ancient history. Be His child now. Right now, humbly worship Him, pray, read your Bible, His Word. Obey. Right where you are, be a light for Him and love people. The now matters a million times more than the past, as long as you have humbly asked forgiveness and turned away from bad decisions. That is truth. Hope is now and future.❤
For only my third quilt ever (the first and second were for my kids), I was pretty ambitious (shock shock) at the design. Not only am I incorporating 5 panels in the center for the story of Jesus Christ my Savior (from birth to return), but I am incorporation representations of most aspects of my life and then putting little borders around each block and strip between and two/fabric squares on each intersection. Then I am framing all of it with three rows of a long border and all the borders are fabric stitched into a roll. And it is all hand sewn. So, here I am now to the point that all fabric is accounted for and measured and cut out!!!! Happy spot!! It is my least favorite thing to do and now I can sew and do my art thing knowing the grunt work is finished! Praise God!! 😄❤
When my throat hurts, I am very sleepy for no reason and feel got, I know I am fighting a bug and need to rest. When the air is windy, tree frogs croak and clouds come billowing in, I know rain is coming and I need to reschedule outdoor events. When Jerusalem is surrounded by enemies, evil is at an all time high and the earth is rumbling and quaking at greater frequency, I know Jesus is Coming soon and we need to get right with Him. Do not ignore the signs of it. Prevent disaster by doing what you need to do to get your house in order spiritually and in every way. Throw out distractions and things taking too much time, they are not worth losing heaven over. Nothing on this planet is worth separation from God. Cling to Jesus Christ, our hope and salvation. Love Him for He loves you more than anyone else can ot will.
God made us all. He loves us regardless of everything, unconditionally because we bear His mark, we house His fingerprints and breath, we are made in His image and can reason and think for ourselves. We speak and sing, the only created beings besides the angels who can. Animals make noises, fish make waves, nothing else can do what we can with our communication and creative minds. So we are loved because of God. He cost to love us despite how repeatedly naughty and ugly we are to ourselves and other people and even (gasp) Him. He loves us anyway. So we must understand that we are important. But. And this is a very big but. We are not it. We are not the biggest and brightest and best thing out there. You see, God is enormous but He is more than a loving Creator, He is old. By that I mean HE IS. By His own description of Himself, He has always been, is now, and always will be. He has been around since before we were thought of, and by “we” I mean earth and everything in it. He also, in addition to having seen and experienced everything we have even heard of and whatever else happened before we came on the scene, He knows everything. He knows and sees everything. He is Spirit and can be everywhere at once, sees all, knows all. God is never ever ever ever surprised. He might be mad at choices we make but oh how He loves the worship of purposeful Obedience! He is not flattered by praise for He knows good and we’ll who He is, but He is impressed with faith and happy when we turn our thoughts and face to Him. Back to the love thing on why that is. But He has plans in place since He knew some created (and that is very important) angels turned on Him by making a prideful and very bad decision with their free choice. The plan was set then as to how He would save as many as possible before the world had to be rebuilt and Satan And his followers be destroyed forever. He wants us saved. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is who this salvation is through for He paid our debt of disobedience and pride against Him to make us right. So whoever accepts Jesus’ death and resurrection as their means of holiness (for God is also holy), they are saved. That is the plan. When testing is over to be sure we mean it and to build our potential, He will come get us and hit restart on the earth and evil will be destroyed forever. That is the plan. He has already won. It is happening now. He gave us the Bible so it would not be a secret. So know and remember the plan, live the plan, love the plan. Be saved and save as many as you can for the time for all that is short. Get right and get a friend right and gear up to go. God is in control. Never doubt that or fear. It is all part of the plan. Praise God!! 🙂
So my son’s baseball team was invited to one of the team mate’s party. The invitation said 10am, so we get here at 10am and no n one is here. Wondering if we were pranked, we stay a few more minutes and another team mate drove up, wondering where everyone was. Then we knew it wasn’t just us. So we left to get breakfast and come back. Getting back close to 11am, people were here and I am now sitting at the most disorganized and boring party I have ever been to with the rudest hostess. And the bathrooms are locked so she must not have asked the park to unlock the bathrooms. Even with all that, the few kids not scared by all that ugly are making the most of it. Harder on the parents, I think. I say all this because it looks am trend feels shabby. I doubt parents will bring their kids to another of the parties. And it made me think of many of the churches I have attended. Some of them had rude people to greet you, we’re not punctual, we’re disorganized and they are surprised no one comes back. And the stakes are higher, may mean the difference between someone being saved from sin or not. When we are presenting the gospel, we have a responsibility to be a good host, a friendly one with a plan for everyone’s comfort and needs. Presentation may mean the difference in someone staying to hear the good news or leaving for a more welcoming place that may bot teach God’s truth. Just something to think about.
I have some precious, beautiful friends who make decisions consistently based on their emotions. What they feel like doing, they do. Generally, they are sensitive, dear souls who wear their hearts on their sleeves and are very intune with the feel of a situation and their own intuition. And that works beautifully sometimes. Other times, they are deceived and respond to the feeling a manipulator presented beautifully or painted smoke and mirrors words. In those cases, acting on emotions is problematic. I can feel like doing something despite if it hurts someone else or not. I can be deceived and make the wrong choice. Intuition is sometimes wrong. And people are more and more selfish and narcissistic in the world so conmen are aplenty. So to not make a wrong decision, perhaps it is a good idea to feel the situation out first and then weigh it against truth- pros and cons lists, Bible study and mentor’s advice- before making a major decision. Emotions stir the passions of the heart and they are as strong as they can be unstable. Our hormones are simply untrustworthy sometimes and we must have a plan prepared so we are not caught in a bad decision. Taming the emotional roller coaster is important in protecting oursleves and those we are responsible for, as well as pleasing God. And having a planned course of action to follow is a great step in the right direction before making a decision. Just a thought. 🙂
