So tonight our band dressed up for a recording gig. It was so fun.
Cheesy me was taking pictures sneaky – like while we are being video-taped for the website (I’ll let ya know when it is up). It was great but some footage has to be re-shot because a zoom was inadvertently pushed and one person’s top of their head was chopped off.
And that is how life goes sometimes. Sometimes, life is a lot of work and maybe you get a yield. And Christianity is like that. You put tons of effort into the kids or adults at church or unsaved friends and you just get nothing to show for it. But with working like that for Jesus, we have great news because working for Jesus is always fruitful and beneficial, even when we don’t see it. God looks at the heart. He cares about our motives. We want to help, want to love Him, want to help save people. And maybe we plant a seed or water one we know nothing about or save them in time. And even if they choose eternity without God’s goodness because they just prefer being bad to being saved, Jesus still rewards the effort, thr motive. And we have practiced and learned for next time. Nothing is wasted. Let us keep pressing on. Never give up. Good is always rewarded (maybe eventually or in eternity). ❤
1 Corinthians 6:13. “You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16. Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” 17. But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 18. Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;” – Bible Offline
I had never had yucca root before I started my new Paleo health nutrition lifestyle and there are many ways to us it, a lot like a potato, but I wanted to share the way I just ate and enjoyed it.
Peel the yucca.
Chop with very heavy knife.
Boil in water until tender.
Drain excess water.
Add desired amount of unsweetened almond milk (I like unsweetened almond and coconut milk)
Season with sea salt and pepper
Drizzle with agave nectar
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and some Chia seeds if you have them.
Mash up and enjoy.
I ate half for supper today and saved half for tomorrow’s meal.
It is like nutty mashed potatoes but so much healthier.❤
Look to now to do what is right
But do not neglect the eternal.
Yes, serve and work and enjoy your life
But never forget the eternal.
Yes, we are here now to work and enjoy
But keep eternal glasses close by
And when you decide to do wrong or do right
Never forget the eternal.❤
There are good thinga and bad things about being healthy. The best thing about being healthy is that when you are healthy, you can help and serve anywhere you are needed for God’s glory. That is the biggest thing about being healthy.
Other good things about good health:
You feel great and have more energy.
You rarely get sick and have better skin and hair.
Your smaller clothes fit comfortably and you feel good in them.
You look better.
You are less of a target to bad guys because you are more alert and energized.
The bad things about being healthy:
It can take over your life and you can focus too much on it.
It is painfully obvious that people around you are not choosing to be healthy and you want them to be healthy and happy too.
It gets tricky eating out because so little in restaurants is purposefully healthy.
We have more energy but those close to us don’t usually have that same energy.
Most people don’t want to hear about your good health (because they choose not to be so themselves.)
So there you have it… pros and cons of being healthy. It is very good stewardship of the life God gave you and allows you to serve Him and others, so it is worth it. But be prepared for some people to be unsupportive and others to keep in being unhealthy. Just be prepared and be you and live life as healthy as you can.❤
