Trust in God

Trusting God requires contrition/humility that we cannot do it alone. It is the antithesis of pride and self-focus/independence. This is what makes it difficult for people. Rather than giving up control and pride, people will cling kicking and screaming to their problem- real or imagined- and carry it around with them everywhere, whining and worrying about it. It is like a stray dog they refuse to give up on that is eating them out of ouse and home but they refuse to give it up. It isn’t even theirs! And it hates them and bites them all the time. Still they work to keep it. No value at all? No matter, I can handle this.

This is worry. It is irrational. It is stupid. It is foolish and denotes a lack of contrition and trust in God. Trusting in God is to entrust everything to him. Give him the stray dog and let Him tame it or put it down as He deems fit. Be okay with God solving your problems- real or imagined. Give God the ok to work in your life for the best. Then relax and rest in His peace and joy. It is simple. Just do it.😄❤

Friend of Faith is Foe of Fear

Faith and fear are polar opposites. When one increases, the other decreases. One (faith) is from God and one (fear) is very very not. And fear is the cause of worry. So worry is also the opposite of faith. And I hear Christians say they worry about this and that. The sin of worry and fear is focusing on the problem and not God who gives faith and can conquer quite literally any battle before you. When we worry or fear, we call God inadequate to help us. We are not relying on God in faith. So to build faith, which should be our goal, we humbly pray and release the problem to God, who can handle it. Keep doing this. And repeat. Every good thing comes from exercise and practice. Exercise faith in God and it will grow. He is the answer.❤❤❤

Don’t Worry, Be Happy

When my teenage son gets a little, ahem, tense, with his crazy hormones, I start singing Don’t Worry, Be Happy. Then I address him and we sort it out, but I start with the song. A great song with an inherently Christian principle, do not worry. Jesus commanded it and it is many many times in the Bible. Worry stems from fear and “do not fear” in some form is in thr Bible 365 times at least, so at least one verse per day. That is how important it is. So, when tense or anxious, sing this little song he wrote, maybe even sing it note for note, “Don’t worry. Be happy.” Start there and move forward, hopefully with a humble prayer alongside. And things will go better for you.❤
