Being Your Best

My son’s soccer team learned a valuable lesson tonight. The lesson was to be your best and not give up. They were out-numbered (we had no subs at all and down one man for the last 15 minutes and they had 8 subs), out-healthed (we had several under the weather), out-manned (many of our best players were out on a school senior field trip) and their refs were for them and called 2 goals badly (called one a goal that hit the goal post and bounced out and called one goal kiecked in after calling the ball out) failed to call a serious personal foul against us (we would have had a penalty kick for), three were playing injured (had twisted ankles). But they prayed and played their best. They did what they were supposed to. They still lost (but only by 3) but it was an enormous moral victory. They learned a valuable lesson and pleased their coach, their parents and most importantly pleased God. So proud of those boys!!!😃❤
