Fasting Prayers

I will be praying and fasting tomorrow (Wednesdays). I implore any of you friends who really love the Lord to join me. And if you cannot fast for some reason, please pray with me during meal times. So we are on the same page, my prayers will be:

1. Please purify my soul and my family’s soul and wash us clean by the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ. Please forgive our sins and renew our strength and purity with the Holy Spirit so we may be in your presence and pray and fast today. Flood my heart and my country with truth, obvious and forthright, that cannot be mistaken or avoided.

2. The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6: Our Father who is in Heaven, hallowed/holy/sacred/honored be Your name. May Your kingdom come and your will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day all that we need and plase forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen., with emphasis on “Please, dear Lord, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

3. Please may Your prayer warriors be strengthened and focused to pray and fast for your good to triumph over the enemies’ evil.

4. Please protect and strengthen our President Trump and all those officials doing good and please give them wisdom, knowledge, understanding and favor with You and man. May those who have done evil be caught and prosecuted and be found guilty and punished to the fullest extent of the law. Please allow this to change their hearts to repentance and salvation.

5. Please help our country defund and abolish abortion and injustice so you will forgive and bless our country as a whole. Please provide for and help the orphans and widows. Let us not pass by our brothers and sisters unmoved but help them with Your love and empathy, knowing You adopted us as well and provide for us.

6. Please allow people to be released from their addictions to tech and social media/phones and pleasure addictions which have become their idols. Please release and help them so they are ready when you come soon for your church.

7. Please purify your church and strengthen her to prayer and fasting and worship together. Destroy the evil within her and cast out demons who have infiltrated. Help your church to remember her job of missions, winning souls for your kingdom, worshipping You. Please help and strengthen and bless Your persecuted church around the world.

8. Please save as many as you can from the clutches of Satan and soften their hearts to Jesus Christ as their Lord for their eternal soul’s sake.

9. Please strengthen and heal my friends and family for prayer and prepare their hearts and souls for your coming.

10. Please keep the demons and evil ones who have chosen to worship them from being effective in the evil they want to do. Stop their plans, dear Lord, and protect us. May all the evil plans come to ruin and be hindered and useless and may You, Lord, and Your angels win every battle.

11. We love and pray for Israel. We pray for her peace and that the Jews will realize that Jesus is their Messiah and be saved. Praise be the God of Israel. Please bless her.

12. We worship you, dear Jesus. We give you praise, honor due you and adore your glory. You are worthy of all our love and adoration and worship. You are holy and true.

In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.❤❤❤

Serving People, Serving God

Works don’t get you into heaven, a saving relationship with Jesus Christ does. Doing more good than bad also is against God’s written Word. It is all about walking, reading, listening and talking to God every day, humbly accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior and obeying Him. The obeying part is a really where the service comes in. And the Bible is clear that one great way to obey and serve the Lord is to serve other people. So, there it is. We lay aside all our wants to take time to help someone and bingo, we get a big smile from God. And when He smiles at us, we receive blessings ad rewards either now or eternal. You can bank on that. 😄❤

Call for Church Reform

Having grown up in the church and having sung as a family in a singing quartet and later leading a travel worship band, I have been in many churches, many denominations, all over America and the world even. And one thing has been bugging me all this time. In fact, I had to take a break from church buildings for a while because of it. It is this…

Churches are notoriously uptight and self-righteous judgmental. Meaning by this the cutting eyes if anyone makes a noise, shunning the not fancy enough, looking down on gum chewers, refusing people to drink coffee in houses of worship, judging outward sins but not addressing obvious inward sins, etc.

The thing is I passionately love the church and so did Jesus… so much so He died for her. Jesus taught so much to get us out of that judgmentalism. He did not allow his disciples to refuse kids being kids. He said bring them here. He taught the church is the people and the heart and going to a building does not make one holy unless one is already holy without walls. Grace is indelibly forgiveness and cannot be removed from Jesus’ loving way. How can we preach grace and yet scold the poorly behaved. How do they know better without instruction? We must meet people where they are and gently teach. You go to a baseball game and everyone accepts you as you are. Why does a church not? What makes you better than Jesus who loved people where they were and then taught a better way? No one is. The church is the people. As such, the church may chew gum, make noise, dress as they are, be welcomed, may drink coffee. And quit putting so much money into a building to meet in. Put thr money into the church and work of the Lord. ❤

Why Go To Church?

There are reasons to go and reasons to go. Why go to church? Because we are told to by God in His Word (Hebrews 10:24-25). Also, we have thr example in many places where the church is together, meaning an example for us to follow (two are Acts 14:27 & 15:30) and also there are several verses on the importance of coming together as a church (1 Corinthians 12:24 and 14:26). And if you search for yourself, you will see quickly that it is God’s design.

Now, I believe most churches are not right in the Word. If a church is corrupt, it needs to be amended or left to find a true church. God is very clear as to what a church is supposed to be like, as in the kingdom of God where followers/believers in Jesus meet together to have communion, worship, pray, read the Bible, encourage each other and help each other. That is pretty much it. Simple and beautiful.

Never does it say we must fight to stay awake during one man’s narcissistic rant or speech for an hour, never is a building program involved, no exorbitant salaries are declared as part of it, and there are checks and balances in place to keep people focused on God and His Word (elders, deacons, etc.). And the people of the church should be loving and encouraging and real and absolutely not judgmental or abusing their position or finances. And the mission of the church is always growth and outreach naturally to save souls. Again, simple.

And that is the truth of church I have gleaned from Scripture, the only source of truth we have.

To not go is to disobey the Word. It is just that simple. Many Bible and Jesus-focused churches exist around you and if none are, start your own in your home like the early church did. That is just as much church as a fancy building. But church is mandatory.❤

Reprimand for the Church

At church tonight, my son was made fun of because he is homeschooled. At church, this happened. On his secular baseball team, his being homeschooled is celebrated and they all tell him they are jealous and wish they were homeschooled and how lucky he is. Hmmm. I wonder what we Christians are teaching our kids about Jesus and about church. I wonder why my son is teased in a church youth group and celebrated and made team captain in secular baseball. I wonder if encouragement has gotten lost in the church and it has become a popular club where teasing is norm. Would you go to that? I wouldn’t if not for wanting to obey Christ. And I reprimand the church as a whole for its lack of encouragement. We are to praise and worship God together, serve together and encourage each other. Is this not the mandate for the church? Why the heck else do we bother? God said to, it is His design but it has become corrupted and we need to stand up and change this. Wonder why new people are not coming? We are not doing our jobs. Wonder why hundreds attend but only few volunteer to help out? We are not doing our jobs. We all need to step up and fulfill the church mandate designed by Jesus and spelled out in His Word. So tired of it. It is getting old. Do the right thing and encourage others to do so also. ❤

The Graceful Power of God

I confess I dislike the push of what I call “Selfish/Narcissistic Christianity” that is popular in many circles now, many churches. It is an infection of the enemy within the church, an infiltration, a parasite. Its motto is “What has God done for me lately?” And that is the selfish heart of it. And I detest it. I loathe it. I abhor it. Why the strong language? Because it wreaks of the world and the church is to smell sweet and light up the world, never be in it but set apart leading the lost to Jesus and His church for salvation. The Graceful Power of God blesses all the time, it is true, but He works in so many ways that worshipping Him needs to be the focus, lifting up Jesus Christ should always be the focus, truth must be the focus, loving service as such becomes the resulting focus. As Christians, our thinking is wrong if we are looking for God to serve us and people to serve us. We are always in the wrong if we are greedy and wanting to sit around and get blessings. The Graceful Power of God works through His pure church that wishes instead to worship and serve Him, works for His glory, lifts Him up. There is nothing worse than a whining Christian. We have to stop that. I seriously have to restrain myself from smacking the face of someone claiming to be a Christian with nothing but complaints coming fom their mouth. This should not be. We need to speak truth, be encouragers, be humble (I keep going back to that because it is the core thinking), be lights in the darkness. We have the answer to the problems people have, being salvation through and thus eternity with Jesus Christ. We need to lift that up, get the news out, help wherever we can. This is Christianity. That other garbage and selfishness is not, no matter what people say. Whoever focuses only on the blessings and not the humble obedience and worship is a liar, speaking half truths that lead people astray. Get away from them, don’t listen to a word they say. Read the Bible and pray for yourself and you will see the glorious grace of God in your life is beautiful ways! ❤
