Revival will happen when we focus on and emulate Jesus Christ. As we worship and lift Him up with the power of His Holy Spirit, we correct the proper balance to the world He made. It is supposed to be that way. We were made by Him for Him and not the other way around. And He is so worthy of praise is He! God is magnificent, full of power and majesty, grace and generosity, love and holiness, truth and faithfulness. No one is like Him and no one can stand before Him without permission, even His worst enemy. Praise God and focus on Jesus in your home, in your church, in your small group or Sunday school, in your workplace, in school, wherever. As we lift up Jesus, He will draw all men to Himself and heal with love and pour grace and peace and joy into our souls and spirits. That with humility is the key to peace, joy, delicious life and correct function.😄❤❤❤
As amazing as you are, life is not just about you. You were created lovingly by God. Life is all about Him. God, the Creator, is what life is all about. What we do should agree with His design, be for Him, be according to His Bible/Words. Make it about Him and not you today. And God will bless you beautifully.❤
Whatever you do, bring glory to God today. Work to please Him. Do not neglect your Creator. Put God into the forefront of your thinking. “Does this please God?” “Am I representing Him well?” “Are my words uplifting God?” “Would God be please with me?” These are the thoughts which help us be where we need to be spiritually for God to smile. Always want God to smile. ❤
I am a hard worker. It is one way I identify myself. Those who know me best know that I am a relentlessly hard worker. Of course, as with us all, there are things I prefer to work at, but I will do what needs to be done with strength and fervor until my goal is accomplished and the task completed. It is a work ethic I learned from my Dad and I believe that God built into me. The Bible states that whatever we do we are working for God and not man because we are really serving God no matter what we work at. That to me is a powerful concept. I am not afraid to sweat, actually barely notice it when I am working, I am very strong and firmly know I can accomplish any task given me and I am not proud- no job is too small or dirty to do. This is who I am. I pour myself into everything I do. I forget to eat or rest or even sleep sometimes. Now, all this is just background information. It is facts. I am not bragging because there are serious problems with this extreme work ethic. My kids have to sometimes remind me they are there. I realize I haven’t called or written my best people in weeks. I am starving by the end of the day and am so dehydrated I have a headache. Lots of things, pretty important things, I do wrong. I carry it too far. And I realized after two years of projects that we hadn’t taken a vacation during that time. So, my loving husband and I packed up the kids and the stuff and stayed on the beach for a few days. And for a few hours, I was stir crazy, thinking I would go batty on the beach all day. And then my toes dug into the sand watching my kids play in the surf and it happened. I looked around and realized I have been missing things. In my plight to accomplish and prove my worth and get things done and be found amazingly competent, I missed many sand in the toes moments with my family. I missed many “Wow, look at this cool thing God made” moments with my kids, even though we still had some. And I am going to make a mental priority of relaxing together- playing one board game, swing on the porch swing, sit together more for meals, whatever, with my family every day. Life zooms on by in our business if we let it. We must not let it.
I think mosquitoes are really around to teach us very important lessons about life. Many would say they wish Moses would have just swatted those two mosquitoes but I think they are still plaguing us for several reasons. First, they are a great equalizer. Of course, they have their favorites (me) but they can pretty much get everyone to run for the inside at dusk and spray things and hurl curses at them from our mouths pretty equally. Along those lines, we are kept humble as well for similar reasons. No one proudly struts around when they decide to attack. They duck and run for cover. They also teach us something about distraction. No matter how deep and important the conversation and thought being shared is, the conversation is over when these little evil distractions invade our space. And no matter how strong we are in our faith, if we are attacked by many distractions we can get off course and not finish the sentence, so to speak. I have had many attempts at distraction in the past, have some now and most assuredly will later, but it is my choice how I handle them. It is always our choice to allow the distraction to change us or cause us to side step when we are to go straight. Our job is to read God’s Word to know God’s will and pray for His strength and renewed protection from distraction every day or moment. If we make it a priority to prioritize, we run the very real chance of being unmoved by distractions and creation a barrier of protection around ourselves. Just a thought.
