Preparations

Tomorrow, my husband goes in for outpatient surgery, so please pray for him.

Today I painted after church the outside of the door and frame and the entryway wall in order to be calm for my husband, who is concerned. He wanted me close by but not too close, just how he handles things.

Band family members Lois and Ken brought over homemade chicken noodle soup and lemon cake. How sweet and thoughtful of them!

The kids will be with an excellent, reaponsible sitter so the dog will be looked after with them.

Church was wonderful And I love my little country church. It is home. And I love playing the piano and singing for church, feels good to worship the Lord with my church family and teach a women’s Bible Study on Matthew. Love it!

Prepared as possible and with many friends praying, we face the day tomorrow with peace and joy and trust in God. That is how we roll.😄❤

Children Still Love Sunday School

They may say they want to sleep in. They may say that they don’t want to go. But I can testify that children of all ages still love Sunday School. People are not getting up and going and taking their children quite often. Most of the time they skip it, not finding it worth their time and energy. Christians thinking this way are more wordly than Godly. That is not judgmental but truthful. Kids and adults all need as much truth pumped into us as possible. We need fellowship. We need to meet together. We need to wake up and put God first. We need Jesus more now than ever. He is coming back soon and will remove His true church to keep them from having to go through immense, unleashed evil in this world during the tribulation. We need to be ready. We need to be awake and prepared. Sunday School is part of that. Being together with our church should be a priority. And as parents, we have a responsibility to our kids to take them. They are worth it and God is worth it. Stop the worldly bent. Think Godly. And n if that is hard at first, practice and pray and read your Bible as much as possible. Get passionate about Jesus who was and is so passionate about you. Don’t turn your back on His love, embrace it. Kids love it.❤

Why I Long for the Rapture but Why I am Content to Wait

Jesus Christ is coming very soon to take His bride home. We who are saved by geace through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God the Son, are faithful and are pure (washed clean by Jesus’ blood of sins) and ready to go (have served and worshipped God and are not in current sin or unforgiveness or worshipping other gods) will be caught up to heaven. People long ago have labeled this event the “rapture” or the “rapture of the church”. The Bible calls this the “catching away” or “catching up” of the bride, the true Christians (not Christians in name only but actual Christians, those with a personal relationship with God the Son, Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord, followers of God the Father with God the Holy Spirit living in our hearts. And I am eager for that day. Also, I am more than happy to wait because I want as many to be saved as posaible. So does God. He loves everyone He has made. Really loves them. So do I. And so we keep working and serving and worshipping and doing the best we can. It is what we need to do to be prepared when we are gotten out of here. And hopefully, we will have tons and tons of company. Please pray and fast with me to that goal and keep serving and worahipping. We can rest in heaven (or won’t need to then). Don’t give up. Run the race with endurance, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…❤

Changing Plans and Being Ready

So apparently, the second week after a hurricane, some things are still not back to normal. There is no milk anywhere, so hurricanes produce milk shortages. I never knew that, this being my first one. I am learning as I go here and have to keep changing plans like cooking every day for breakfast instead of sometimes having cereal. Also, took the kids down for homeschool PE and the fields were still closed, so changed gears and did school and yard cleanup instead. Yesterday was already to teach Sunday School and it had been cancelled (found out when I got there) and had to entertain the kids until worship. Evidently things stay closed a long time and everyone assumed you know that. And now I do know, learning as I go. But I would rather be there and be ready and then find out it is postponed than to have go time and be unprepared and sleeping. I think that way about the rapture, the catching away of the true Christians, like the parable of the wedding Jesus spoke of, where half the bridesmaids were ready when the groom came and could attend the marriage ceremony and half were caught unprepared and we’re left behing. I want to be a part of the marriage. Jesus really wants everyone there. He wants people to be ready. No one knows the day or hour but there is a day and hour coming sooner than it was a minute ago, sooner than it was yesterday, soon. Now is the time to purify our hearts and draw close to God in prayer and be ready.❤

Ditch Digging Day

So here is what we have been up to. We dug a ditch around the newly screened in back porch. This needed to be done anyway, but Irma sped up the necessity. Now no matter how much rain we get, it has somewhere other than the house to go. So, just now showered after all day up to now digging ditches with Joe (our amazing handyman). Tough work it was, going through roots of our current oak tree and cut down sycamore tree, but I am happy and will sleep well tonight. ❤
