I walk along the path during the sunrise.
The heat is not yet a struggle.
The birds sing and find food, the butterflies also
The wind wafts in waves over my skin.
Not entirely awake, I move one step in front of the other
With each, my eyes open more
And I am struck with the immense beauty
The calm and noise balance luxuriously.
I realize God is already up for He never sleeps
I say good morning and He does too in heart and nature.
His gentleness does not offend in the early hours.
God’s presence is always a delight.
How rich my walk when He is there.
And He is always there.❤❤❤
When breaks the dawn,
The gorgeous hues,
So breaks the bird into glad song
And so breaks in our attitude
Of glad or sorrow, right or wrong.
See, we of birth of morn profess
How day will go, with more or less
And fall where may our love will choose
Where to focus it’s gaze.
And God decided once for all
His gaze would loving on us graceful would fall
And He awaits our fervor praise
When each day breaks the dawn.
All mornings are beautiful when you wake up with a clear conscious, count your blessings and focus on God. (In fact, you sleep better when those things are true of uour night too. Come to think of it, days are better if that is also true of tour day. Lol) But this morning was particularly beautiful. The sun was just as bright but hidden a tad behind a thin veil of clouds. There was a refreshing breeze that tickled my hair to fly around a bit. The birds were singing their morning praise and breakfast songs. Walking was sweet in conversation with the Lord, like walking with my best friend and Savior. I realized something exquisite, a new truth I had never fully embraced and indeed embraced it (sorry, that is between my Lord and I). And the walk was refreshing in every way. Getting back to the house, everyone was still asleep so I sat and rested on the porch swing, enjoying the mockingbird in our bistro vines searching out their breakfast. God is peace and joy. And if you walk with Him, you are too. I am ready for the day. I love you. Have a beautiful day! ❤
The alarm went off this morning to go out walking before the day got hot enough to be an excuse not to walk. Lol And it went off way too soon. Morning came way too soon. Now this morning, I had a little boost. My son wanted me to wake him to walk with me. So, knowing I had the company of someone I love who also doesn’t enjoy early mornings but also wants to be healthier, it was easier (still unpleasant but easier) to get up and go. Yes, misery loves company lol, but also there is a verse in Proverbs that says something like blessed is he who walks and someone is there to pick you up is you fall but woe to the person who falls and no one is there to pick them up. Now there are no mud pits or cliffs in my neighborhood, but it is easier to do life with someone you love, be it a spouse, a friend, family, a pet. There is someone to share and talk with, an accountability partner, a fun emphasizer, a helper or someone just to serve and consider. It is lovely. I had another friend who decided she didn’t need anyone but her kids. Well, that is a whole lot of pressure on her kids and people need to adult sometime. Lol We need people. We are responsible not created to live in a vacuum. God is very social and made us so. Morning comes too early but all unpleasant things are easier with help. Be a friend, make a friend. Love you!
So, my son decides yesterday to get up really early in the morning with me and walk with me to start the day. He is normally a night person like me and hard to get out of bed, so I was expecting the worst. Instead, he pops right up and is eager to go. Oy. So off we go and I am pleasantly surprised because I generally love walking time to enjoy God’s creation and talk to Him and just be quiet. I thought my chatty son would be a peace deterrent but instead he was pleasingly quiet with the sparce comment here or there. Lovely. So he will be joining me and we have more time together, and I thank God for that. Another happy place. Wonderful. 🙂
