There is a huge difference between being intentionally wrong and being accidentally wrong. It is truly a huge difference but sometimes the result is the same. For instance, my husband attacks me for both. He treats them exactly the same. In fact, he will stack them up with other past wrongs. There is no white out or eraser. And I am feeling miserable right now because, human that I am, I screwed up yet again and made an accidental mistake (which I am quite sorry for and humbled at having made) and am in the doghouse. I am made to feel like a criminal, foolish, stupid, disposable almost. Every mistake bears the a came fruit. Criticism at imperfection is always awaiting me. I can do little right, it seems. And I have this one joy in the midst of such blatant disregard for my apologetic and humbled disposition. God is generous with forgiveness. I have a heavenly Father who holds my often clumsy and awkward outgoing nature in His hands and forgives me of my flaws. He understands them. God loves me more than judges me. God cares for me and my well being more than He wants to prove I am flawed and in need of Him. He wants to give me joy not steal it, give me peace not damage it, love me not wound me. I have this amazing Heavenly Father God who loves me awkwardness I am and motivates me by love to want to be better. God is not critically picking apart every wrong move or word but is gently guiding me to the write moves and words. It is a comforting reminder that I am unconditionally loved. You know what, so are you. Thank God! ❤
We all need to support American solidarity. We have a looming threat from North Korea, and the prevalent vicious attempt at division and distraction from mainstream tv, news and Hollywood owners/dictators. We have evil demons and principalities trying to kill as many of us as possible and divide and conquer. We used to be protected by God because we obeyed Him. Now many many Christians are comfortable, lethargic, lazy, sleeping, laxidasical, lukewarm and evil is gaining ground. This sickens me for I love our country. Our rights and freedoms are unprecedented and we need to be thankful and appreciative to God for this and serve and obey Him in return for these blessings and beg Him to restore and unite us, punish all evil, drain the seamp, and rebuild and restore. Christians need to wake up and pray and serve God. We need to unite and defy the evil billionaires who think they are in charge and punish them for their evil. We need to take back America for God and support our good President and his good staff. The riff raff in politics need to be vote out and they need to represent the people and not their own pocketbooks. Eternity and eternal judgment has no preference for worldly power or riches. That stuff dies here. Money is temporary. Power is temporary. God and eternity is forever. We need to work together for our souls and our country for God!!! Spread the word!❤
I have listened to and heard many people talking about this date being the fulfillment of Revelations 12 and the sign in the sky, marking the beginning of the tribulation, the final 7 years before Jesus returns to rule our planet. I hear these things and, being the big picture person that I am, find them interesting but not that important. Why? I am of the belief that we Christians are always to be ready in case we are rapture right now, or in 20 minutes, or on September 23, or in 20 years. “No one knows the day or the hour” it says in the Bible. See the point? We need to act and speak and serve and love in such a way to always be ready. We need to be spiritually ready at all times. Then He will take us to Heaven for we are ready and pure in His eyes. So be ready!❤
Everyone wears masks. Everyone on the planet has one face for private and one for public. To call someone a hypocrite is to judge them guilty of something they do. Even the very open and blatant of people have a private side they wish to keep to themselves that would not be popular with their friends circle. Everyone on earth is a hypocrite to some extent. Now when people say they don’t go to church because mhypocrites are there, they are saying they don’t go to church because people are there. He who judges says they are perfect. If they are perfect then, they don’t need to go to church, and if that is true, we should worship these people. The real thing they object to is not the hypocrisy, it is the label put on imperfect people. They are under the false assumption that all “Christians” claim perfection. And it is easy to see how they conclude that because as soon as a Christian starts to judge someone for their sins, they are saying they are perfect and sinless, and we all know that is ignorant and false. So my supposition is that people who do not go to church just really are looking to justify not going by choosing to pay more attention to idiots claiming perfection by going rather than obeying God who said to go. And saying to go to church was not an order to go to a fancy building but to meet with other believers and pray and sing and worship together for strength and unity and encouragement and growth. Nothing more. All else is a human construct. So, maybe if we really all stopped the nonsense and read the Bible and prayed together, we might actually all get it together and do some good. Many imperfect people working for God can accomplish a world of good whereas a handfull of judgmental segregationists only praise themselves and accomplish no good. Let’s call a tree a tree and truth, well let’s call that truth. God and His Word stand for themselves and are very clear if you bother to read it yourself. That would be a great movement across America and the world, wouldn’t it? The “Get Real and Read the Bible” movement. Wow.
Madame Guyon wrote this fabulous insight into obedience:
“It is not our actions in themselves which please Him, but the spirit in which they are done, especially the constant ready obedience to every discovery of His will, even in the minutest things, and with a suppleness and flexibility of mind that is willing to turn and move in any direction where He should call.”
This paints a beautiful and I believe accurate description of the humble and ready servant who reliably and capably answers his or her master’s call. This servant is going to be trusted with greater things if they are faithful with the littler things. It is invaluable to have such a person, trained and supported, available to get their jobs accomplished and then help others. Such a servant would be treasured and loved and valued for their service and heart of service. This is servant would be rewarded and our goal as followers of Jesus Christ should be to be this servant. However, as amazing and beautiful as that is, what is more amazing about our God is not just that he appreciates those who serve Him, He loves dearly and blesses His children who are screwing up all the time. Yes, I turned a corner there. In our family of believers, every person matters and is loved no matter what their own personal level of service is. We who serve sometimes cast judgment on the unworthy “audience” who sit there and are entertained having felt themselves worthy of Heaven based on warming a pew and enduring a sermon or two now and again, no heart to serve aboard. However, God adores that person. He adores and appreciates everyone He designed and lovingly made. Because of His unique and amazing love of all of us, we need to share that love with others and have that right spirit or heart of obedience. We are responsible for serving the Lord with the talents He has given us. And it is beautiful when we get it right. But we can not be right in the spirit of obedient service if we looking around at how others are doing in their walk and comparing notes and accomplishments. It is just bad form. Let God raise them up to become humble servant who He can do great things through. My job and your job is to be the best humble obedient servant we can possibly be because we can and should out of love for what God has done for us. It is freeing to just do your job. God loves that. 🙂
