Honoring God

The goal of every person, every church, every city or town, every community, every state, every country should be to honor God.

Pretty bold statement, isn’t is? Maybe, but that is a reflection of where we are now in our worldly deviant state, but that does not mean it is not true. Not only is it true, it is how we were all made.

Even one’s own personal decisional concerning this design not change this truth. Truth is truth and design is design, regardless of what anyone thinks about it.

We need to get back to honoring God. Personally and communally. When we do this, God blesses and rewards, protects and answers. Guaranteed. If not in this life then in the next. 😄❤

Humble Ambitions

I have always been an ambitious person, full of energy and life and a go-getter, a natural leader and delegated worker who tirelessly gets things done with a smile. I inherited all that from my excellent daddy. Just how I am cut.

Through the many years I have been alive, my ambitions have changed. And here is my highest ambition of all time, the greatest accomplishment of greatest worth, what I am desperately working on within myself… staying humble in spirit.

Once mastered, humbleness of soul and spirit allows a flow through of God. Not because we are so strong but because we are weak and know we need Him and then He is so so so strong through us. This is the highest goal, no greater goal exists. Humble spirit has the deepest relationship with God because it is the most honest. God is everything and we are very little in light of eternity in this vast universe. That is truth. ❤

Praise God!! Goal Attained!!

I have reached my goal with God’s help!! I have been working on this goal since the beginning of June of this year. So I am proof that big goals (losing 50 pounds by Christmas) can be accomplished with God’s help and consistent effort on our part. And I believe that is true of every goal. God is so wonderful!!!❤❤❤

Only Three Pounds to Goal

I pause here with selfie in order to bring glory to God and praise Him for providing the strength for me to obey Him in the area of food. I only have 3 pounds to my goal of 50 pounds down. I have lost 47 pounds to date. This has been an act of obedience in an area where I had a stronghold… food. People can have strongholds that keep them from eating, that cause people to gorge themselves then purge, or over-eat/indulge in gluttony. All of these are treated with obedience to Jesus; the love relationship with Him is what shatters strongholds, heals and strengthens us. And God is definitely my Savior in every way and I am so blessed and happy to be obedient to Him in this last stronghold of my life. God is so very good!!❤❤❤

The Goal of Smallness

By smallness, I do not mean the size of physical form. Just to get that right from the start. The one good thing about evil being so dominant in the fake news entertainment (as there are few and far between true journalists anymore but I digress) or anti-social media or entertainment media is that whatever they are saying, the opposite is true. If they say he did, you can bet he didn’t. If they say families are healthy without a mom and dad, you can bet they are unhealthy. If they say follow your heart, follow your head because your heart is the most easily tricked. If they say true, it is a lie. It is so laughably predictable with all the evil/lie prevalence around us. So if the world says your goal should be to get rich and powerful and popular and well known, you can bet my goal is to get smaller, meaning humble. If man is god, mine isn’t, I’ll stick to God being God. So look with these truth eyes and invert every line you are given and you will be closer to the truth than you imagined. ☺

Walking the Straight & Narrow

More and more as evil is rearing it’s ugly huge head around us everywhere, I am focusing on walking the straight and narrow path with blinders on. Not blind to the souls around us, not blind to the path, not blind to the needs around us, no. Some people do that and nothing for God gets done by them other than taking care of themselves. No, I mean having the eyes of Jesus and knowing the evil is around us everywhere but focusing ahead on the goal and filling the needs we can as we go but keeping steps toward the goal. If you focus on the evil, it is easy to be distracted from the goal. The goal is important. It is not Heaven. That is just a fact, a normal progression and result of the goal. The goal is a constant, pure, personal relationship with God. If we focus on that and keep our conversation with Him (prayer) going, we can do this with His help, focus on God’s importance rather than our own (worship and contrition), and stay right on the path. Praise God for His help!
