Gig Season Begins Again

So, here we come into October and snowbirds are starting to arrive in Florida. So we gig again. We have spent all summer on new oldies songs and we are loving it. So we kick off our gig season with two outdoor gig, one October 19th morning at Faith Baptist Church’s fall festival and then October 27 afternoon at Cornfusion. Very cool.

And with every other weekend full of family birthdays, we are going to be flying. October is by far our busiest time of year- 3 birthdays in our house. Crazy. So, here we go, let’s get it started. May God bless us all on this journey!😄❤

Amazing Gigs

Our band had another great gig tonight. We pulled off a bunch of new songs and it was so much fun! Two Saturdays in a row we giggled and more gigs coming up soon. Love this busy gig time of the year. It is so fun to play either my band family. Of course, we always talk and wonder about those of our band family who have chosen to leave us for whatever reason. Everyone in the band asks about our past drummer and how he is and old bass player and so on. It is sad and we miss them. Thank God, though, that we can rock on and still live making beautiful music together in the purest sense. 😄 I love what we do and also love the extra money. Bonus! 😄 Thank you, God, for our band family and being able to play out. All good things come from God! ❤

Last Night’s Gig

We have an oldies rock and roll variety dance band and we had a gig last night. The place was packed with wonderful people who apparently loved to dance and were quite good at it and quite fun. It was a beautiful experience. Missing people is a little easier, pain is a little lesser, tiredness is less present, and the world is a much better place when you are playing music with your band family and making a lot of people very happy. It is a rental experience I appreciate. On a sad note, it was our last time playing with our drummer brother, who has too mmuch pain from a work accident so we are trying to pull in yet another drummer, so it was a blessing to play last night when it wasn’t a learning experience curve for someone. Onward to new gigs with a new band family member and let’s hope for the best. Three is next month and NYE is on the horizon. Amazing how fast I me flies but how much more you enjoy it playing out!!! Rock on!! 🙂
