Laziness is a Waste of Good Brain Cells

Good stewardship is a concept I have been working on in my life and trying to instill in my kids. The opposite of good stewardship is laziness. It wastes talent, thought processes, imagination, physical ability, energy, so on. Laziness declares that our comfort is more important than the gifts God has given us to use. And no, laziness is never a gift from God. It is an affront to Him who gifted us in His profound wisdom. 😄❤

Pondering Singing/Songwriting

I have written literally hundreds of songs, lost count many songs back at 352. All with different melodies, all catchy, though very raw. Ridiculous amount until you realize I am now 45 years of age. I had one boyfriend who wanted to read and read my songs and listened to some. He was the only person. Some I published, some I recorded professionally in CA at Michael C. Ross’ studio, some I played as specials for church, some are still being used by churches for worship, there is one Easter contata, there is one rock ballad, etc. I once thought I was supposed to take these songs and share them myself with the world on stages across the country, concerts, themed evening, praise and worship evening, be a recording artist, etc. I really thought I was supposed to do that. I wondered why else God would entrust these songs to me. All this I call phase 1.

Phase 2 was give up mode after trying to get going on it and never being heard by the snobs in the music industry. They won’t even listen and are so n lazy they want a finished product before even considering a listen. What would I need them for then? And churches not even considering a free concert from a fellow Christian with references that prove my sound doctrine and heart to encourage with truth and so forth. No’s were everywhere, except a few published songs that went nowhere, so I gave up. Maybe I was wrong about being a singer/songwriter. Maybe I sucked at it. Very brief career over.

Phase 3. My songs read like a deep, moving journal, full of hope and pain, truth and phases of life. I believe many of those songs were a gift from God to sort out the worship and praise amidst the pains and horrors of my life. I have been through a heck of a lot – as most of us. But the songs show God working me through the difficulties with an ever repeating theme of how He is worthy and brought me through it thr best way possible. He may have given those songs to me as a live gift to help me put and show me love through healing.

Enter phase 4. Now. The present. I don’t know what if anything will happen with these songs but I am about to play a newer one in church this Sunday and wish to share them as needed. In the meanwhile, I am appreciative for them in my life. They are a loving gift from God for whatever reason He gave them to me and I am very grateful. And I will see where He leads me with them. And I will record in our home studio and play around with them over the summer. You never know what can happen in a day. I am willing to accept no or wait or they were just for therapy or go or whatever thr Lord wants. He is the boss of me. I am willing to obey Him whatever that looks like.

The takeaway: God’s gift to you is for a reason He knows. He may share that with you or may wait until later, maybe even heaven. Don’t worry or fret n or give up. Accept that He knows best and just be ready and willing to obey. God sees the heart. 😄❤

1 Corinthians 12:3-4

1 Corinthians 12:3. ‘Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 4. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.’❤

Each of us have a gift to use for Jesus Christ our Lord. These gifts are to love God (praise and worship) and love others (service and encouragement to others). These gifts are not for our purposes but for God. Everything is for and about Him, and He bestows gifts on us that fit and work well within His kingdom plan. Not using those gifts is a sin. Using them for self is a sin. However, in contrast, using the gifts God gave you to love Him and love others is obedience and very rewarding. Jesus is Lord and deserves our best for Him. Love you. Have a blessed day today!!😄❤

Using Your Gifts for God

God made each and every person on the planet with love, designed on purpose and with a special ability or gift to use for Him and others as an act of worship. There are no exceptions here.

So maybe fasting isn’t your thing, maybe it is. Maybe healing isn’t your thing but maybe it is. Maybe art isn’t your thing but maybe it is. So many options, so many needs in the church and kingdom of Jesus. Maybe you just don’t want to use your ability for God. Then don’t claim to be a follower of Christ/ a Christian and that would be a horrible decision. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, then follow Him and use your gifts and abilities He gave you for Him and others.

The church is full of people not doing a dang thing. If you can’t be bothered, don’t even bother going. God made you, made everything that you appreciate, made everything good and on top n of that when we screwed up, Jesus came down here and suffered an agonizing death to redeem us. So what are you doing for Him?

Believing is good and well and may, may squeeze you into heaven, but what is belief without the fruit of that belief? What is the faith without using it to pray? What good is truth without sharing it? What is talk with no action?

We would be in a revival if the church Christians would wake up like it matters. Christians should be about God’s business. He has a lot going on right now. There us a lot of work to do. Christians should be missionary- minded. Christians should not be wrapped up in themselves and the world nor should they ever be lazy.❤

Gifts from my Babies

When my babies were little, they constantly brought me flowers and pictures and anything they made or found as a teeasure. These things were beautiful and valuable to them. And they gave them to me.

My main love language is quality time, so I won because I would walk or do art with my babies while they picked or created my present. The present, I cherish because I treasure that time with them.

And God is so generous with us in so many ways. And as our Heavenly Father, I bet He just loves it when He sees us generous also. I bet He thinks of what we give and is proud of us. I bet He remembers time with us and service we have given and is pleased with us. I bet He just loves gifts we give like I love the gifts my babies give me. ❤

Giving Proves You Follow Jesus

There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus is extremely generous. Extreme generosity seems to be His natural inclination, His nature. He gives to us generously even when we do not deserve it, when we don’t even know we need it, when He feels like it. He gives and gives and gives, even gave His own life (then reaurrected) for our salvation and still gives so much all the time. Why? Why on earth does Jesus keep giving and giving to us and we do not deserve it. He gives to people behaving well and people behaving badly. All the time, He does this. Why?

Jesus is generous because of who He is and out of His great love for us. He wants us to be saved, know and feel we are loved, be blessed by He who made and thus owns everything. How can a loving Father who owns everything not lavish gifts upon His chosen and adopted children? We are that when we follow Jesus. So He gives generously.

Jesus is our example and why we give back and should do so generously with appreciation for all He has given us. We tithe, we give, we offer, we serve all out of this generosity pot of love Jesus blessed us with. Who are we to hoard what He gives us so generously? Who are we to selfishly want more? We as Jesus’ loved and treasured children behaving as unsatisfied slaves? May it never be. I give of myself- time, money, gifts, abilities, service, encouragement- because of Jesus’ innate generosity and my appreciation for and honor of Him. ❤

Equipped to Serve

God designs us to serve Him and others in a particular way. Some to parenting, some to decoration, some to worship, some to organization, some to public speaking, whatever the case. God loves variety and loves us. We are given an innate gift to serve. Our task to honor God is to find and use it joyfully. Each person and each gift is beautiful! ♥
