Family Fun Day Results

Well, we had fun anyway. Steve was in a bad mood and obviously did not want to be at Busch Gardens at all, but we managed to find the train and finally get on and things were better from there. Glad to be home, but may go back to family fun days with the three of us (the kids and I). But I liked having him there because I live him and we ended up alright. All said and done, it is better to be with family than without them. I had not been to Busch Gardens since I was 16 and wow, has it changed. I still love it. It is beautiful!! I recommend it. And next time, we are taking a small cooler and renting a locker for sandwiches to save money and not starve. And I am thankful that we went and for riding my first roller coaster in 20 years. Lol. It was great! And to top it off, we finished the Life game we started yesterday and topped it with Thor: Ragnarok. Great day!😄❤

Family Fun Day Tomorrow!

Usually family fun days do not include my husband, who is notoriously anti-social except for music and thr security team on Sundays. He never wants to do anything, so usually family fun day is the three of us doing something free or cheap, like a park day, swimming and pool at mom’s club house, hiking Carter Lake, walking to Circle K for a soda pop, or something. But tomorrow we are all going to Busch Gardens! We got the fun pass for the rest of the year (thanks to my consulting job) and tomorrow is our first time using it. So excited! We rarely splurge on anything not music related but this will be great. Steve probably won’t go often but even one time is good the the kids’ memories. So excited for this family fun day outing. Thank you, God, for the patients you sent my way!😄❤

The Gig Tonight

We usually don’t have mid-week gigs. Most people hire us for weekends. But today, we had a gig. Just got back from it, actually. And this was the funnest gig ever. It was poolside at a resort next to Old Town in Kissimmee. We had all ages present, baby to 90 and everywhere in between. We even had a table of French speakers. And it was magical because all ages knew, danced and sang along with our live oldies music. It was more fun than I remember ever having at a gig. And we all smiled and danced and were vibrant and happy and the weather was perfect and I cannot imagine a better way to spend a Thursday. We helped tons of people remember happy times, have new happy times, enjoy life, spread joy and God Bless the USA was celebrated valuantly. It was wonderful. All ages love oldies music. All ages can dance together. And we heard so much appreciation and they will be hiring us back. The people all told the entertainment coordinator and she told us. They said we were the best band that ever played there in 10 years. And the point is jot that. The point is that we were united as a band family for music, dance, fun, lightening people’s loads, spreading joy, uniting people of all ages and nationalities. And that was truly a beautiful experience. I am so thankful!!😄❤

Making Fun

So, today, after the work and breakfast were over, and after catching up on house keeping (which my host mom used to call “domestic goddess duties”), I kidnapped my children to race over to the clubhouse and play pool. We made fun in the day. It could have been a long, cumbersome day. I could have just plowed through and accomplished everything. No, that is not what we did. That is not my legacy to my children. My kids will know that I balanced work and play, with equal fervor, while loving God out loud the whole while. And so we make fun happen. So important. Remember the fun. 😄❤

Blessings of a Good Band

We have the best band we have ever had now. No inflated egos, no negativity, no drama, no demands. We are having fun playing good music together. It is ideal. It is fun. And we are better than ever as a band because of it. Any gig you need entertainment for in Central Florida, Smooth Sentiment is the right band for oldies variety dance rock and roll music. (Shameless plug because we are that excited about it lol). But I am writing this just to show appreciation and thank God publicly for this new great band we have. It is appreciation blessing and a breath of fresh air. We have never been so excited to play music together. And I know that all good tuings come from God. Praise God!❤❤❤

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The good: Our band family had a great family gig today at the mall’s food court. There was singing, dancing, congo lines, great stuff. And my kids could come to it and have a blast and participate. They knew all the songs and played Morocco and egg shakers. It was a blast and I killed those congo songs, just saying. Pays to have gone through a reggae phase. Lol

The bad: Missed my friend today a lot and band family no longer with us. I wish there was a way for me to turn that off but for now, I feel it hard and do the best I can with God’s help.

The ugly: Got a bit lost on the way home and ended up very tired through Winter Haven. Oy. Must to printout my own directions and not rely on following someone. Lol

But all in all, a tired but great day and gig. Glad to be home. Headed to the shower and then bed. Church tomorrow with my kids!!! I have a lot now… my two and the big bunch from church. Momma first and foremost. 😄❤

Amazing Gigs

Our band had another great gig tonight. We pulled off a bunch of new songs and it was so much fun! Two Saturdays in a row we giggled and more gigs coming up soon. Love this busy gig time of the year. It is so fun to play either my band family. Of course, we always talk and wonder about those of our band family who have chosen to leave us for whatever reason. Everyone in the band asks about our past drummer and how he is and old bass player and so on. It is sad and we miss them. Thank God, though, that we can rock on and still live making beautiful music together in the purest sense. 😄 I love what we do and also love the extra money. Bonus! 😄 Thank you, God, for our band family and being able to play out. All good things come from God! ❤
