The Key to Not Be Devisive

I heard a great quote that I want to take further. He quote was from a guy on YouTube who said this:

“Just because we have different viewpoints doesn’t mean we have to hate each other.”

And I want to tell you the key to executing that mindset, because it is a necessary one for any group of people living in the same family, country, workplace, earth. Here is the secret key: Ready? Wait for it…

Care more about God then yourself and other people as much as yourself.

It is that simple. Really? Yep. It is the heart of the matter, pun intended. If we simply follow these 10 commandments, reduced down to two, with a humility and the fruits of the Spirit, the world would be flipped upside down, or actually would be made right.

A difference of opinion would not induce hatred but maybe a conversation or acceptance of a different viewpoint.

Families would be stronger, as each would love God first and foremost and want to please Him and then would love each other as much as themselves so nothing would be done for self that harms another but instead each would support and encourage each other.

Words and actions would be done from love and not from hate or its counterparts greed or envy or folly or self-interest etc. Love views things quite differently, sacrificially even.

Ah, just thinking of God’s original design is wonderful. We can help by adopting such a world and heart view and implementing it. And if enough of us do this, wow!😄❤

When All Else Fails, Talk About It

There is an unwritten stupidity in many of our heads that prefers to stew and mull things over and brood rather than having a potentially uncomfortable conversation. However, quite often the other party is not even bothered by the matter or at the least most often not to the same extent. Yet we brood and suffer and pity ourselves and fester in a darkness of our own making.

So, I have opted from now on to have those potentially difficult conversations here and now rather than decrease the years of my life over them when it may be avoided. Better a moment’s discomfort than a long drawn out death over it. Tired of that. Tired of keeping it in. I was not like that as a kid, and by golly I am tired of eggshells. I will walk rightly in the fruits of the Spirit so as not to harm anyone but I will not puss foot around anymore when a conversation needs to happen. Now that is proactive for everyone’s good. So much negativity and energy can be saved if real eye to eye conversations happen. So much good is done that way. And here is my new manifesto… Keep moving forward wisely but with fruit (of the Spirit). I will do the right thing as often as I can, every time if possible.😄❤

Fruit of the Spirit

Love this list of attributes of God that we can build on and work toward. These characteristics are the natural traits of God, who He is, what He wants us to aspire to and grow to be. And what a powerful and graceful list! Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Wow. How perfect is that list and God whose nature entails all of those. Perfect! How great is our God! May His will be done.❤❤❤

Spirit of Revival

There is a Spirit of revival I van feel now. It is a positive flow of potential and push toward forgiveness and repentence. I see people changing out of old clothes of addiction and into new clothes of peace and hope. Of course many are rejecting this prompting to their own detriment, but the Spirit is flowing and giving opportunity. I feel hope and change and renewal. It is beautiful. Wherever this encouraging, hopeful Spirit finds a home, there is joy and love and peace and I see the fruit of that same Holy Spirit in new places and people, making them gloriously beautiful. Praise God!❤

Love is a Three Letter Word

There is no love ultimately without God. He is Love, He delivers it, He is it in its purest form. So what does that pure Love look like? It looks like joy. Love is nothing without happiness and joy and sheer bliss. Love must involve joy. Love also must be embedded in peace. Peace is involved, calm, even waters, sweetness and contentment. Love must involve peace. Love must be patient. It must be satisfied to wait with, be with, stay calm and peaceful and joyous with and just be. Love waits until the tears stop to leave, wait for the sun to come up with, wait contentedly together with. Love is patient. Love is always faithful. It does not keep looking for more when joy and peace and patient and enough are here already. Love is finished shopping and finds beauty and integrity in its final purchases. Love is faithful forever. Love is kind. Love offers acceptance and is nice no matter what. Kindness flows like water, cannot be contained, never stops appreciating, accepting, encouraging, uplifting. Love is always kind. Love is good. Nothing is better on this planet or beyond than love. It is good, the best thing about life, the best reason for doing anything, what most songs are written about, is pure and worth thinking about, makes everything better, is a light in a dark world. Love is definitively good. Love is gentle. It carresses with words and hugs and touches souls gently, it loosens the load you bear and gently lifts some out to help ease your burden. Love touches the soul with kisses of tranquility and hopefulness and allows words to be spoken without judgment or criticism. Love is gentle. Love is always in control of itself. Love does not attack others when angry, does not throw temper tantrums or pout like a child when it doesn’t get its way. Love remains in charge of its faculties so it can carry out its other duties and characteristics. Love is self-controlled. How do I know all this? Because Love is God and God is Love and the characteristics of God are the fruits of His Spirit. Anything that deviates from these truths is not truly love but man’s distorted view of it, devoid of truth in full and able to deceive and be used for evil and selfish desires. But the truth is here, based on the source of truth, so you will not be tricked or used. Love is pure if it is anything and the most powerful force in the universe. And if you are blessed enough to find love like this in this lifetime, you are blessed forever and best, richer than the richest men and women of the entire planet, and powerful enough to do anything you take Love with you to do. Applying this truth to your lives in your love will change everything. Love changes everything for the good. Love is perfect.

Purity, Holiness

If you look for holiness and purity in the Bible, you will find many, many references. There are many, and there is a good reason for that. When God repeats Himself, it is to emphasize that point. When He says things many times, He is screaming the importance of it. Many things are repeated often in Scripture, but to me holiness and purity are becoming beacons of radiant light in an ever increasingly dark world. Why? Darkness has it’s deepest roots in pride and lies. Evil has to have the roots of pride and lies/deceit in order to grow in strength. Holiness and purity are uncorrupted by these things because their basis is humbleness and truth. You cannot be holy and pure as a human being without thinking more of your Creator and His service than you think of your own desires. And you cannot be holy and pure as human beings without God’s truth solidly and securely clung to. If Satan is the father of lies, God is the truth, and that is the way it is. When truth becomes a low priority, evil has a door to enter through. By settling for some innocent lies, you no longer have the resistance to evil and corruption can enter. “Resist the devil, and he will flea from you.” That is our command with a promise. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” is another. How can you be holy amongst so much corruption, even within the church? The answer is to embrace truth in God’s Word and in prayer and humble yourself, a short cut way of saying to know that God is Gos and His purposes are much more important and longer lasting than our own. To be humble is to know that God designed you purposefully and incredibly with gifts so amazing that our life radiates with thankfulness to Him. “Be holy as I am holy” seems at first to be the most difficult command in the Bible, but I assure you that if you embrace and carry truth with you by reading the Bible and having a running prayer dialogue with the Almighty Father and be thankfully humble before the Lord, you will come as close as we can. Purity is achievable with these ingredients and a fair dosage of the fruits of the Spirit.

Salt and Light

We (Christ followers) give the world flavor and the ability to see. Jesus Christ said that we (His followers) are the salt of the world and the light of the world. That means that we have what the world needs. We have taste enhancers and light to see with in the form of our lives shining with the Holy Spirit who lives in us and teaches us how to shine and flavor the world. Our caution is to not lose our ability to flavor and not hide our light. So, as long as we keep doing what we are supposed to be doing, we will continue to help people see the truth and spice up their palate to enjoy fully our lives on this planet. Think about it, it is us who have the Holy Spirit in us, so we are carrying around in us love and joy, peace and patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. No wonder we are salt and light! These are the things people need most!! We have these tools! And we know how we got them, so we can hall other people get these valuable treasures too. We have to share. The beauty is that sharing these treasures actually gives you more than you had, both in this life and the one to come! We got the flavor, baby! We got the light! Live like you do!
