Only Three Pounds to Goal

I pause here with selfie in order to bring glory to God and praise Him for providing the strength for me to obey Him in the area of food. I only have 3 pounds to my goal of 50 pounds down. I have lost 47 pounds to date. This has been an act of obedience in an area where I had a stronghold… food. People can have strongholds that keep them from eating, that cause people to gorge themselves then purge, or over-eat/indulge in gluttony. All of these are treated with obedience to Jesus; the love relationship with Him is what shatters strongholds, heals and strengthens us. And God is definitely my Savior in every way and I am so blessed and happy to be obedient to Him in this last stronghold of my life. God is so very good!!❤❤❤

9 Pounds to Go

At a weight plateau, I was stuck for a few weeks. And now, perseverance has paid off and another pound came off. And I realized that even with 9 pounds left to go of my 50 pound goal, I fit into clothes I have been unable to wear since before my son was born, some 13 plus years ago. I also noticed that I feel great and have as much energy as I had then. And way much more importantly than any of that, I am obeying God with food and not fighting Him. And obedience in every area of my life makes me very very happy, peaceful and joyful nowadays. I am prepared to help and work or just rest for the Lord and that makes me very very happy. And even if years have passed, obedience is attainable and I am proof. Keep at it. Never give up. God is worth it!!!❤❤❤

Paleo Lunch for 2 Days

So, another concoction I tried that worked for two lunches worth is the following:

1 avacado, peeled, pitted and chopped

1 purple yam, skinned chopped and boiled to desired tenderness

1 sm. can salt – free pees

1 sm. can salt – free green beans

1 can tuna, drained

Drizzle agave nectar and few splashes of red wine vinegar (my new favorite dressing)

Himalayan sea salt and pepper to taste

Mix above and separate in half- one serving for today and one for tomorrow. It is delicious. 🙂

Paleo Breakfast for 3 Days

I made up this breakfast. Because it takes some time to cook, I cook breakfast for 3 days at a time and separate the food into three equal portions and store it in the fridge. I don’t go longer than 3 days because I want the ingredients to stay fresh.

1 medium onion, chopped

1/2 yellow squash, chopped

1 pkg. Frozen spinach, thawed

Salt – free can of chicken

2 eggs

Salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, agave nectar (drizzled in onions while cooking them)

Saute onions in skillet with water and a splash of olive oil with drizzle of agave nectar and desired seasoning on medium high. Add yellow squash after 3 minutes. Cook for 5 minutes. Add spinach and chicken and desired seasoning. After 2 minutes, drop 2 eggs on top and mix thoroughly. Once eggs are cooked thoroughly, you are finished.

It is delicious and paleo friendly. And this nutrition plan works well because I am down 21 pounds now and feel 100% healthier and more energetic. Also, my skin is no longer broken out and my skin is healthier.
