Fence Phase 2 Complete

What I love most about our fence is that we worked as a team family to build it custom ourselves. And now we only have one fence section on the other side to address and we can get our puppy!!! Praise God! ❤

Fence Phase 1 Complete

Today we finished phase 1 of the fence. We covered the posts with overlapping 1″x8″x8′ boards, elevated 1 inch for a subtle decorative feature. Came out beautiful and sturdy. Super happy to be finished with the greatest phase in size and demension. We start phase 2 tomorrow and that is very cool. Thank God. And another matter of thanks is our new favorite treat that we will be making a habit of. After mowing and a good shower, I took the kids skating. What fun! I forgot how fun skating was. My daughter’s first time. My son is a natural, faster than I am! We had a ball and it was a lovely cheap date for us. Fantastic!😄❤

Fence Phase 1 Nearly Complete

Now, our beautiful fence is definitely a gift from God. Here are the pictures. And now, when I look out the window, I see a beautiful fence and not many faces and cars coming and going I don’t know as well as kinda sketchy neighbors I do know. Just adds to the happy peaceful place God provided for us to grow up. God is such a great Father.😄❤

So Grows the Fence

Now in phase 1 of the fence, we have 3 of 9 panels completed. 1″x8″x8′ boards are going up today three panels deep on 3 2″x4″x8′ stringers between 4″x4″x8′ posts set in concrete. And now, we have three beautiful sections up and are ready to finish up phase 1 tomorrow. This is so exciting. While we love our neighbors and help them whenever they need it, we do not need to see all their comings and goings. Many, many people live there and come and go and all of them peer into our yard and I have felt uncomfortable with so many people I don’t know so close to my kids that we haven’t been out in the yard much. So now the fence is going up and I am so excited because once it is done, we can use our space and be outside again. Yay! I am so very thankful. Hard work but so worth it! God is so very good! 😄❤

Feeling This Work Day

I am joyful and peaceful but recovering from working hard all day in this hot Florida summer sun. Thank God for giving breezes all day and thanks be to God for strength and help to get much of the fence up today. More to go tomorrow. Everyone helped and it will be so amazing to get that fence up again. So super excited. After fence work was finished for today (meaning everyone had enough of the heat lol), I weeded and mowed. I have motivation to be outside again because privacy is on the horizon again. Woo hoo! Praise God! And band practice tonight to boot. So great!❤

Fence Excitement

I feel like a little kid in a candy shop because we just bought the lumber for thr fence replacement from Lady Irma who removed our old one last September. We have b had such a lovely view of the neighbors and all their vehicles and much comings and goings. While I will miss that like a major toothache, I am super excited to obtain some privacy from them. Yay!!! Also, after the.fen e goes in, we can get a dog the kids have been wanting for years. Super yay!! So, it will be hard work, especially digging the post holes, but I could not be more excited about it. Praise God!!!😄❤

There Once was a Jasmine Fence

So our neighbors helped us rip out our imploded jasmine fence. The front, I took out yesterday and the long side would have taken Joe and I two days of hard labor and instead, we cut away between fence posts and Joe tied them off to our neighbor’s 4 wheel drive Suburban and she drove them panel by panel down to the pile in front. What a blessing!!! So now the sticks are all picked up and the jasmine is all in piles out front. Amazing. And soon (starting tomorrow), Joe and I will put up a fence. Steve can’t help because his knee blew out today, bless his heart, but thank God I can work. And my son has proven to be a good worker once we get past the protests lol. God is so good. I have two fewer walls of jasmine to trim!!!❤
