I was just thinking about my daddy. He passed two years ago now and I often remember him fondly. His greatest legacy was one of faith. He was faithful. Not just was he a faithful husband to my mom but he was all in, faithful to the core to his faith, his family, his country, his beliefs, his land. He did not stop being what he believed in my whole life. And that is why I am the way I am and believe so strongly in being faithful, being all in to God, my family, my country, my beliefs. It carries down.
Be faithful, dads. You are doing great. Even if you screw up a bit, just swallow that pride and ask forgiveness.. wives and kids are in general very forgiving… and keep being faithful. Or start today to make that legacy to pass down, it is never too late. Just please do keep working at it. You are the head of your house/family and families are why America is so great. You are vitally important to make or break everything, which is proved by how heavily society is attacking you. Be courageous, be all in and be faithful. Like my daddy, the best man who ever walked the earth (other than the God-man Jesus, of course).❤
1 Corinthians 10:13. “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”❤
God is faithful. He is faithful to help us every time we humbly ask Him. He is always one humble n prayer away and never ceases to faithfully live us and answer our prayers. He just answered two huge personal prayers for me last night. And He helps beyond what we or anyone else can ever do ourselves. God is faithful!❤
Toads are handy little guys to have around. People don’t think much about them and their intelligence is a little to be desired, however they do quite good work. They eat cockroaches and mosquitoes and ants and flies and other really annoying bugs. So toads are rather unintelligent but very very beneficial quiet workers around the house. The benefit those inside very much and help control the pest population and make the home much more pleasant to live in and visit. Toads, though you don’t see much of them most of the time and you hear little from them most of the time, are vital members of the family. And we have many people in society that are like these precious toads. Maybe they are not so attractive to look at, maybe they are quiet and stay in the background, and maybe they are not even geniuses at a lot of things. But these precious toads are vital to our comfort and cleanliness. Maybe they are janitors or cleaning crew or landscapers or maintenance workers or just like putting programs together or operating the lights or taking care of the flag. It matters not what operation they perform but that operation is vital because it allows people who are good at something else to do something else. And without all of these things being done, there would be discomfort, uncleanliness and less other operations done because of requiring more energy from other sources. So when I see a beautiful, quiet behind the scenes person, I am so very thankful they want to and do serve the Lord. It brings me so much comfort because these amazing people generally don’t get applause and recognition but they continue to serve faithfully. It is an inspiration. So never think these people are anything less than vital and beneficial and amazing. And if you are one of these treasures, thank you so very much for your service to God. He will reward you best if no one else does and I for one appreciate you truly. Love you!!
Rolling down pre-made winding, spiralling, going upside down tracks, big monster roller coasters are fun. Fun IF, and this is very important, IF you are properly secured. If you are not, you will see the roller coaster very differently. It will become a terror ride, a torment, a horrible thing that ends in some form of trauma of which you will never be the same. And life is very much like that. If we do not feel secure, do not feel adequately grounded, life’s ups and downs and loopty-loos will cause us enourmous amounts of pain or trauma or just plain old headaches. We need to know our security is sound, we are safe. It is difficult to know this in a seeminly very scary world we happen to reside in. There are always side cars pushing us, always unexpected objects thrown on the tracks and so on. It is imperitive that we place our security in that which is stronger and bigger than the roller coaster. Our security must be grounded in God, bigger than we are, bigger than any problem we face, no matter how big it is or how much it threatens to throw us around. In fact, if our security is not grounded in God, it is grounded on something lesser that can also be moved and shaken. Imagine being secured to the seats not by God’s strongest arms but by bungee cords. You would still be jostled so much that you’d at best end up with a sound concussion. Or you ask a child to secure you in your seat. They do not have the ability to help, no matter how much they might want to. So our security must come from someone greater and secure and sure and faithful. In a world of unfaithfulness, God is faithful. And I want faithfulness in my security. I don’t ever again want to feel secure one minute and not secure at all the next and then be back to secure and so forth. Such a strap on a ride which works half the time and then visits another person to secure them for a bit and come back is completely worthless as a security strap. Security must be reliable, faithful. This is vital. You cannot be secure in a boat that is solid one minute and turns into spaghetti the next and back and forth. You get it. So hop on in and enjoy the ride life brings you, but just make sure your security strap is right first.
My parents have suffered from a bed bug invasion for quite a while now. They make (a tad) too much money to get help but not enough for the exorbitant price tag for bed bug extermination. While every penny would be worth it, it takes far too many pennies to come up with. Because of this infestation, they had far too many visitors and we even kept our distance, doing what we had to do and leaving to hose down and wash our clothes immediately. So, it has been a plague for them. We kept having lots of expenses pop up that God up our money so we couldn’t help. So there lies the bed bug horror. They are terrible. We tried to bandage the wound with mattress covers and over the counter bug killers, but they kept coming. Gross, huh? Yep. So, where is the lesson? The lesson is that God provides a way. Dad’s hospice social worker explained their problem to Make A Wish foundation, and they agreed to pay most of the treatment and the extermination company will take the remainder in small manageable payments! God used a long line of resources and willing individuals to provide bed bug demise bringers to my parents!! So, although I had most of the prep work to do these last few days, it is all worth it because relief is coming for my parents! Why? Because God is faithful and attends to the details in our lives (big and little ones). The timing may not be what we want but He always provides. We may have to work for it, via prayers, manual effort, discouragement, trying to help ourselves, mental stress, but those efforts are worth it when the answer comes. And every effort on this earth in doing what is right and working for God is worth it in the end also when heaven is our final answer. Don’t give up. God is working. Sometimes He has to wait for people to be willing to obey Him. So if you o ey Him, just maybe you will be inadvertently speeding up someone else’s miracle. 🙂
The enemy has already been defeated. So, his battle can no longer be for victory but for the spoils, those of us God wants to be with Him for eternity. Satan is working so hard to defeat you and I and steal our salvation and life and peace and joy, were it possible. He works like an animal to devour as many as he can and he has quite a lot of help from the media and journalist puppets and power hungry leaders worldwide and countrywide. So, this seems like a bleak soapbox rant. However, I am a big picture person and this is the truthful big picture for those who need the reminder. What I wish to convey, though is this: God has already won the war. It is over as far as the big picture is concerned. Done. The plump lady, she has sung. We who are faithful to Jesus Christ to the end of our brief stint on this rock will be saved and have forever to ponder the excellent choice we made in remaining faithful to the Victor. We must know that every attack is just another pitiful or sometimes clever attempt to pull us from our glorious future with God. We must keep the focus. We must focus on the prize. We must win the race. And of course, whenever we ring the bell, humble ourselves, God Himself steps in and reminds the enemy that we are His and He backs down and awaits another opportunity. Be vigilant. Be humble. Pray. Read your Bible. Smile. We read the last chapter and we won. We are with the good Guys.
