Our Good Isn’t Enough but God’s Good Is

I was just wondering if people who do this sin, like abortion, or this sin, like murder, or this sin, like pornography, without confessing before they die would still go to heaven? And the Holy Spirit spoke softly to my over-thinking/stinky thinking mind. I was convicted gently and reminded that I very well may be speaking some sarcastic, judgmental words when I am hit by a car and any sin unconfessed would land me in hell if real life went like my horrible, incorrect thinking.

And isn’t that the whole point of Jesus Christ having to come down from heaven to die brutally for us and defeat death for us forever by rising from the dead?

It is not our goodness or perfection that gets us to heaven in the eternal afterlife. It is not confessing every tiny sin before we pass. We reach heaven when we have a relationship with God in which we are covered by the payment Jesus Christ paid for us. And Jesus forgives us and speaks for when we have that relationship with Him.

This frees us from obsession and bondage to the pursuit of perfection. And it causes us to gratefully and rightly pursue that very important relationship with God through Jesus and with the Holy Spirit’s power and help. Focus on that truth and be loved. 😄❤

Just Be Ready

My husband’s oldest brother has been in the hospital but was getting better, was on the mend. He passed last night, however. And it was a reminder for the entire family to just be ready. Don’t put off repentence. Don’t put off humble prayer. Don’t put off worshipping God with your life. Don’t think you have more time to get your spiritual house in order for death sneaks up. Who knows if his pornography addiction was addressed by him before God. We do not know. God knows. I do pray it is so. Yes, he was a good man and took good care of his family but God wants to be first and only He knows the heart. He knows all our hearts intimately. Don’t gamble with eternity. The message for us all is to just be ready. When this frail life is gone, eternity remains and that is what this life is supposed to prepare for and determine. Just be ready.❤

The Thing Is

The thing is that our loving and holy God wants and designed you for a relationship, a personal friendship with Him. This spiritual truth is the most important truth, this is fact based upon evidence both in thr Bible and in nature, in our very selves. Down deep we know this, we are made up of His stuff, so we inherently have an internal right and wrong scale, no matter how we have messed it or allowed it to be messed over the years.

The thing is the way to have that relationship with God the Father is through God the Son Jesus Christ who took care of the bridge between unholy – naturally us and holy Him by sacrificing Himself for us. Believing in this truth and keeping in prayer and Bible study is the key. Naturally, we will want to say and do the right things as a result of that but humbled-soul belief and acceptance and prayer is the key.

The thing is we don’t have unlimited time to do this. We are told Jesus is coming back soon. That means eternal life in heaven or hell (our choice based on what we do with these truths) is beginning soon, ready or not. We own our choice, no matter what deceit has been present. Lies will immediately melt away in His truth and we will be gloriously happy or eternally ashamed. And that truth forces a decision.

The thing is we have to choose humble glory of naming Jesus Christ our Savior or proud shame of forever wishing you had. We must make time for that decision and commit now. ❤

Heaven’s Waiting Room

Our time here on earth for all of us should be time spent waiting for heaven. But it is not a passive wait. We are not sitting around on our butts waiting for time to pass, we are worshipping God and thanking Him for Jesus’ work to assure us a place. We are thankful, friends! And while we worship and live thankfully, we are growing closer in our relationship with God. Wow, what a magnificent thought! We are loved by Almighty God our Creator who is rich in love and kindness, goodness and gentleness, joy and peace, holiness and self-control. He who created the stars knows and loves and wants to be close to us. Wow! In such deep thankfulness and worship, we cannot help but radiate His love and good things and humbly serve others also. What better show of our gratitude? And this is our waiting room experience on earth, awaiting heaven with our precious Savior! How blessed we all are!❤❤❤

Security

Every woman, or person for that matter, wants security. It is one of those perceptions like control. They are both something which we can work to achieve, spending endless hours on planning and paperwork to verify we have it. But truth be told it can all change in a very bad day. And people I know are having very bad days a lot lately. Death, cancer, illness, car breaks down, refrigerator goes out, roof leaks, whatever it may be. All of things are reminders of the temporary-ness of the world.

In sharp contrast, when we place our security in the only Source of true, eternal security, namely Jesus Christ, we are secure. When we give Him control, He owns it and cares for us. And He is truly the only One who can. We are only as strong as our next tragedy but God has never, in all His years of creating and caring and loving, has lost one hint of power. And He has never stopped loving us. We have security in Jesus and not truly anywhere or anyone else. And I am content, peaceful, joyful and loved with that fact. It is good to know for sure. How I love Him!❤❤❤
