Here is a short list of important things to NEVER say:
1. I can’t.
2. It is their fault.
3. I will never do that.
4. I can do this without help.
5. I don’t need the Lord.
6. Church is full of hypocrites, I am not going. (The world is full if hypocrites- we are all human.)
7. Well, just this once.
8. Any lie.
9. No one understands/loves me/cares/gets me/wants me around.
10. Anything negative or discouraging.
That is my short list. If anyone is interested, I can expound on why, but the truth is that these statements are particular dangerous and/or sinful. If we are on an eternal track here, which we are, I would like to remain positive and obedient to God to ensure my relationship is close enough to God to make the rapture.
Tomorrow, I will write my short list of things to say at least every day.❤
In the Eternal Scheme of things…
Petty arguments are not important afterall.
Cobwebs are good if found on bad memories.
Toes in the sand are way sweeter than fangs.
Adopted by God is better than accepted by anyone/everyone else.
God’s opinion is the only one that matters.
What we carry with us is enough to be content and happy.
It is the eternal scheme of things which truly matters.❤
My goal as a Christian is to please our loving God be ready to bow before Jesus. I believe that will happen sooner than most people are counting on. They think that because He hasn’t taken His church yet that He won’t. That is poor logic, because it only happens once and God said in His Word that He is being very patient so more can be saved.
My goal and focus is to please our loving God and be ready to bow before Jesus. How do I do that? By being saved by Jesus, pleasing God and bowing before Him now, always keeping the eternal perspective and focus. It is a willful conscious effort of thinking. It requires determined thought which requires far less energy than one may think because aligning with our Creator yields peace and assurance and joy. This is the goal.❤
You cannot be successful without some measure of faith. You must believe to some extent that success (and that goal is different for every person) is attainable. Faith produces success. Of course that is true eternally only to those who include God’s will/Word in their success goal. Working against God’s will/Word will destroy the eternal success, no matter what temporary success you achieve. No matter who promises you otherwise. No matter who tries to buy you now. No matter what. Eternal success can never ever be achieved apart from Jesus Christ. Ever. Let me repeat for clarity and emphasis… Momentary success with strings attached may be achieved now but eternal success can never be achieved apart from Jesus Christ. So success involves faith. Faith in Jesus Christ determines eternal success in Heaven. Temporary success is easy: see it, want it, get it with tenacity. Then what? Freak accident, cancer, natural causes, heart attack, whatever, and your success dies with you. And you face eternity with eternal success or eternal failure. No amount of philanthropic deeds makes up for not being saved by Jesus Christ. He is the only way in, the only perfect and loving hope we have of salvation. He is our eternal success, our treasure. He is it. No other way, no other truth, no other life exists but Jesus Christ. I met a woman today who told me her oldest son died in a bike accident and her younger son is serving life for unproven incest. I was able to pray for her and her son that he be saved and that she see him again before she dies. My heart breaks for her and it reminded me how fragile life is, how crazy it can get very quickly, how vulnerable we are. How easy it is to forget that life can change dramatically in an instant. We are lost without Jesus. With Him, though, we are saved and eternally successfully secure. We must focus on God and be sure He is a strong part of our success goals and focus. Our first priority. Then we make success eternal.❤
I have had a myriad of successes (and failures, but that is a different topic lol) in my life. I have traveled much, moved a lot, gone on mission projects in three countries oversees, graduated high school as salutitarian, graduated with a bachelors of science in premedicine, a Masters of science in audiology and a doctor of audiology degree with honors, skydived, married, carried and gave birth to two beautiful and intelligent children, been a worship minister, been on praise and worship teams in very large churches and some small to medium ones, and many other successes. But recently, upon reflection, I am most proud of my recent success with humility, if that is not too much of an oxymoron. Lol. I realize that many of the successes I have had are meaningless because the success was in self glorification or material things. My greatest success to date is in humbly obeying the Lord and having humble faith in Jesus Christ to save me from my sins and take me to Heaven with Him any minute now. And I will be ready. I have thrown off things and people I have worshipped in the place of my Almighty and Amazing God and am forgiven and turned away. I have cancelled out addictions. I have humbled my soul and know I am only strong when I am weak. And I am proud of realizing my greatest need is humility. Maybe you have a different one, but the key is finding it with God’s help and doing it now. The only good in me is Jesus Christ. It is such a relief to get it. It is more of a relief to know without a doubt that I am saved and there is eternity with God starting right now and continuing forever, despite what happens. There is such peace and love and joy in that assurance. “Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh what a foretaste of glory divine!” I am so thankful. I share my story to encourage yours. Be blessed! Ask any questions of me, or better or God and the Bible. It is vitally important. 🙂 God bless you.❤
