I am of “generation X”. Whoopty-doo. I actually like that title because in math “x” can be anything and I like to think any person can be anything they really, passionately want to be and are gifted for. But we were thought at one time to be independent thinkers (I believe they meant rebellious by that but never cared for that), computer savvy, television-dependent, attend church but are sometimes loose with the rules and so on. All these things are true of many born of my particular time and not true at all for others.
Milennials are those born in the decade or so after me, those who are in college now or just out. They are said to be dreamers wanting to make a significant difference, spoiled, living in a dream world with relative rules and moral lackness (and rarely attend church) with no work ethic and addicted to their tech. This is true of some and very false of many others.
The baby boomers are hitting retirement now, thought to be hard workers and morally correct for the most part, church still being a part of their lives, caring for family, the backbone of society and wise, people who steer clear of computers for the most part but still read actual books. This is true of some and not true of others.
Labels should most often by defied. Why? Because they put you in a box that has nothing to do with how God created you to be and how you should be if you are obeying Him. Age Labels (and most other labels) are only true and validated if people choose to never rise above them. For instance, anyone on earth with God’s help and living up to their original design, can read and study their Bibles and do what God says, becoming great men and women for the kingdom of Jesus. Every single person can do this at any age. And we absolutely should. This is not lazily falling into a role dictated by people but rising to a noble, heroic role dictated by design by an all-powerful God.❤
Ya know, in life we have ups and downs. And generally we don’t appreciate the ups fully until we hit those downs. And of course when we are in the downs, we desperately long for the ups that we will again not fully appreciate and so on. That is the way of it. Most t hj ings n in nature God created to want to be neutral. All things were designed to be in balance with each other. It is true in chemistry, which I love, and biology and virology (for the most part) and microbiology (all of these of which I have studied in great depth in earning my science based doctorate).
Enter plateaus. These are the flatlands, thr neutral spaces, the balanced places, the waiting games places where nature is most content and we are not. These places I have come to accept and truly appreciate, for the ups and downs are not present here. Something has to happen to change the plateau. For weight loss, it is to try to change the proportions or mix up the menu or change the exercise. In life, a change event has to happen to go up or down, like a loss or gain or accident or surprise. In nature, an imbalance has to happen for things to scurry to get balanced again. God designed this. These plateaus should be celebrated for they increase stability and balance and allow for some rest before the change comes. They are indeed created by God (like we are) to be a blessing. We still work in the plateau, we all still do our job, nature does its job, mitochondria and enzymes do their job, everything is working but not in a stressed out way. This is an absolutely beautiful place to be, friends. See it as a blessing as it was designed to be for you. ❤
Motion is what we were built for. God made us to move. When we work in any way, we are validating our makeup and propogating health and balance. God even built within us the motivation to work and move, called endorphins that produce a natural high as a reward. We feel good doing what keeps us healthy. ❤
Family is strongest when God is the main focus of it. God designed family to be together and puts together family on purpose. It is the beautiful design for empowering His work and kingdom of love on this planet and giving us strength for eternity with Him. This is why evil attacks family. Evil wants to destroy everything God made and weaken and destroy everyone and everything. And evil gives nothing back. God, however, never stops giving. He is good and generous and rewards with blessings all family that focuses on Him and supports His design and each other as an extension of that. Family Strength is God’s design and help for us on this planet. And when we support our family and pray together and put God first, He gives us every tool we ever need. It is beautiful. Let nothing divide you from family and God will provide. Family Strength is our strength from God.
I am great with two groups of people: kids and the elderly. I am not good with the in between ages. That is how it has always been, except my few friends that mean a great deal to me. I used to think I was just weird, and I really am ok either that, prefer it actually. But lately, I think it is my gifting from God, my design. And in my service to others, I excel the greatest when I am working with kids and elders. And I do so as often as I can while still maintaining my responsibilities at home. And I really enjoy coaching 2nd and 3rd grade homeschool P.E. and I just live my kids. We have it every week and it is great. And my kids are feeling like family, telling me all about their weeks, holding my hands while we walk, racing me, giving a hug after class. It is just the sweetest thing. And I would encourage you, whatever age group God built you for, to serve them somehow. It is truly beautiful when we do what we were designed to do. Artists should do art. Musicians should do music. Politicians should really work on their moral code. Lol Do what God made you to do. It is worth the startup effort and God blesses your effort for Him well. ❤
