To the Point of Objectivity

The closer you are to God, the more you consider Him in all things rather than the sources of disturbances. You remain objective and focused amidst persecution and mistreatment. Names are called and you consider the Source of Life and what He suffered for us and then objectively consider the source of cruelty. You forgive more freely, purposefully, faster. You forgive before the entire name is in the air like an arrow shot from a bow toward you. You decide to be God’s and not defend yourself, knowing He judges rightly and will handle it for you in some way in His timing, and you pray for those who don’t get the implications of that. God isn’t One to mess with. When His children are mistreated, you can bet that unless they repent, they will very much wish they hadn’t. They mistake God’s patience in wanting more people saved and giving so many chances for weakness or being far away or passive. Far from the case, God generously pours out grace, hoping He will love you into turning to Him. I digress, and return to my point. There is a vast satisfaction derived from becoming objective in the midst of incessant criticism and other spiritual attacks. We focus on God and He provides objective glasses and grace to push through it to an even stronger you. This is beautifully peaceful and joyful. Hard to explain how melodious.❤

When Travel Becomes Vacation Not Destination

Being an adventurous traveller most of my life since high school (and dabbling before that), travelling was the destination. Looking, searching for what different areas hold, what I was missing. I travelled through relationships that way too for a while but I digress. And I realized yesterday that I have arrived at my destination and all travel from now onward is done for vacations. I have found what I have searched for. It was not a physical location. It was not a person. It was a closeness to and healing from God. And I am complete and have arrived. I am content and incredibly happy. I am secure. In God first and then myself and my husband. There is now a fulfillment in the present, a new dawning of peace and calm and a bliss. I know this little girl is complete, no matter what happens to me. And I know my destination is heaven, far better than any place here, which must be incredible. God loves me with a sweet enduring unchanging love and fills and healed my brokenness. All the travel was searching for what He gave me as fast as He could without further damage. What an incredible God we have, so worthy of our everything. Now, I am absolutely brimming with Love and love is my home now.❤❤❤

Contentment

I am convinced within myself that a person without a relationship with God cannot achieve pure, lasting, unconditional contentment. It is not lethargy I am speaking of but an intrinsic force in our God-seeking, God-fingerprinted hole He built into eachnof us. This force of contentment is unleashed and grown once a higher level of relationship is developed between Creator and created one. Then it does not matter what environment or outside forces are present or pressing in, even most harshly, we are good, resting in the arms of God Almighty who loves us and is way bigger than anything rising up against us. Ah contentment. Without God, it is unattainable, and with God, it is perfectly natural and automatic. Walk with God and what else can possibly be that important other than Him? ❤

Balancing Sewn Up Parts of Us

Now many people in my life, myself included, have perfect parts and broken or messy parts of them, great habits and sinful habits, good focus on some things and horrible focus on others, amazing gifts in some areas and no giftedness in other areas. And most people look around and want other people’s hood parts and gifts and long for it, ignoring the bad parts entirely. And we are told by God to focus on Him and do our jobs on one hand and rest in Him on the other. So basically, do and focus on the good and forgive or deny credence to the bad stuff. And the whole time, our focus is to be on Jesus. I think surfers have more the right idea than people give them credit for. Catch the wave, bask in the surf, chill out, love everyone. Now they may take it too far and neglect responsibility sometimes maybe but they got the chill out portion of how we should be. We are to be balanced in life but always focusing on Jesus and resting in Him. Contentment is a mandate, a commmission. Yes, so is teaching, witnessing, worship, doing our gifts, baptizing, caring for those in our lives, etc. Yes, that is true. But that is it. The rest is extra. And we are called to peace and contentment in the midst of life and that can only be accomplished by focusing on Jesus.❤

This Prevalent Selfishness

And why should we not be selfish creatures is the argument, right? We are, after all, the crowning achievement of creation and represent God’s glory and genius. We who think and reason and choose freely. Should we not honor ourselves? Are we not co-creators, precious to God? Yes. Yes, we are. However, we are still, in all our immeasurable importance and glory, still the created. I can be waited on, praised, idolized, deemed valuable to society at large and never be more than the created. No one ever will be but God. I repeat, we have one Creator God and we are not nor will ever be Him. Worship Him. He is the important One. Be who you were made to be. That is glorious enough.❤
