Call to Fast/Fasting Prayers

Tomorrow (Wednesdays), I will be fasting. I am again imploring all Christians to join me in prayer (all) and fasting if able. I generally post my usual fasting prayers so we are all on the same page. My heart has been heavy lately and I implore you all to pray with me as I will be praying these prayers:

1. Dear Heavenly Daddy, may your name be praised and revered in all the earth! May Your kingdom come and may Your will be done on Earth as it always is in Heaven. Please give us what we need today. Please forgive our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Please do not lead us into temptation and deliver us from the evil one. For everything good is Yours and from You.

2. Please forgive any sins I have committed, either knowingly or unknowingly. I freely and gladly forgive anyone who has sinned against me. Please also forgive my family’s sins and strengthen their faith.

3. We Christians need to humble ourselves and pray and seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways. Please help us to do these things right now so that You will hear us from Heaven and will forgive our sins and heal our land. I know we as a church have become too much like the world and we repent. We wish to please You more than we wish to please ourselves, and only You can satisfy our every longing anyway. We relent and resign to worship You.

4. Please bless and revive Your precious church all over the world. Hold us in Your precious loving arms. Draw us to You. Wash us clean by the blood of the Lamb and power of His resurrection and fill us fresh with the Holy Spirit.

5. Please unite our country under You and give our leaders wisdom, knowledge and understanding and lead them in Your truth and righteousness. Thank you for President Trump and other good leadership You have blessed us with- keep them safe and help them succeed. May those against You, Lord, be found out and punished and their plans not succeed. Bless our armies and forces for upholding justice and freedom and love to all. May we protect life and defund and stop abortion and all murder so you can bless us even more. Thank You that we support Israel, may it ever be so.

6. Please help our unsaved loved ones. Please soften their hearts toward You and help them to be humble and be saved. We know it is not Your will that any be lost and we are in agreement.

7. Please be with Israel also and may peace be fluent in Israel. Protect and save them from their enemies and guide their leaders. Help them to realize Jesus Christ is their Messiah. We love these people You love.

8. Thank You, dearest Lord, for all the blessings You provide us all the time. They are so many- You are so generous and I love You and praise Your great name! You alone are worthy of praise and worship and deserve every bit of it. I love You so much and put my will under Your will.

In Jesus Christ’s holy name we pray, Amen.❤

Response to Willfully Ugly People

When people are wilfully ugly to us, we have a choice on how to respond. 1. We can pout and have a pity party, using that as an excuse to do something we should not that is entirely selfish/narcissistic. 2. We can get angry with righteous indignation and “vent” to everyone we know, using that maybe also as an excuse to do something we should not that is entirely selfish/narcissistic. 3. We can get even with revenge and unforgiveness (that unfortunately never hurts them) and inventing creative ways to be seen on the higher ground or be able to retake our wounded pride, often using that as an excuse to do something we should not that is entirely selfish/narcissistic. 4. We can pray and be thankful for what we have and the opportunity to set our pride down and turn to the Lord for help and comfort. And the last one there is of course the only option we should go to as Christians. Matthew 5:11. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (-Bible Offline).” Look at Paul and Silas’ response to wilfully ugly people. Acts: 13:50. “But the Jewish leaders incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region. 51. So they shook the dust off their feet as a warning to them and went to Iconium. 52. And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. (- Bible Offline).” And again, Acts 16:22. “The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. 23. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. 24. When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks. 25. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. (- Bible Offline).” Let’s be the Christians God intended us to be and really be that light I’m a dark world.❤

Questions Christians Should Ask Christians

Rather than pathetic and inconsequential shallow or even worldly questions, we Christians should be asking each other questions like this:

1. How is your prayer walk going?

2. Is there anything I can pray with you about right now?

3. Can I watch your kids for a few hours so you can pray?

4. What verses did you read today that encouraged you?

5. Please share with me some blessings from God today.

6. May I share with you today how God has shown Himself greater than my challenges?

7. Can we fast together in Spirit and prayer one day this week?

8. Is there anything I can help you with today?

9. Please tell me about a blessing God has provided for you today.

10. Are you ready to go to heaven when God comes for us?

Questions such as these matter for the kingdom of God, in conjuction with the Word of God. We are to operate on a deeper spiritual level than those who have not accepted Jesus as their Savior. We often dwell on the shallow which is not helpful in the long run or big picture. We need to start greeting ech other with holy hugs and kisses and meaningful questions which encourage our eternal life.❤

Calling All Christians

As Christians, followers of Jesus Christ, we have enormous blessings and expectations. For istance, we are called to fast and pray, worship, love, be united, love more, give generously, give up selfish worldly pursuits, represent God, always speak truth, strive to understand, stand for truth, honor and please God in all we say or do, and of course read our Bible. And God expects this all and generously provides the resources to do it all. There is no excuse not to do any of these basic mandates of the faith. These are requirements, not out of duty, but out of humble obedience, love and appreciation for eternal salvation and blessings galore. And frankly, I have screwed up and am actively working to do my job better. I call you all out also to do the same. Get back to our first love and relationship with God. It is our responsibility. We are His hands and feet and things that are not being done are a result of us dropping the ball. Pick it up and run with it. God is on our side so we must obey Him. God loves us so we must love Him and other people. It needs to happen. We must do it. ❤❤❤
