Reprimand for the Church

At church tonight, my son was made fun of because he is homeschooled. At church, this happened. On his secular baseball team, his being homeschooled is celebrated and they all tell him they are jealous and wish they were homeschooled and how lucky he is. Hmmm. I wonder what we Christians are teaching our kids about Jesus and about church. I wonder why my son is teased in a church youth group and celebrated and made team captain in secular baseball. I wonder if encouragement has gotten lost in the church and it has become a popular club where teasing is norm. Would you go to that? I wouldn’t if not for wanting to obey Christ. And I reprimand the church as a whole for its lack of encouragement. We are to praise and worship God together, serve together and encourage each other. Is this not the mandate for the church? Why the heck else do we bother? God said to, it is His design but it has become corrupted and we need to stand up and change this. Wonder why new people are not coming? We are not doing our jobs. Wonder why hundreds attend but only few volunteer to help out? We are not doing our jobs. We all need to step up and fulfill the church mandate designed by Jesus and spelled out in His Word. So tired of it. It is getting old. Do the right thing and encourage others to do so also. ❤

Standing Up for What is Right

I believe strongly that the closer your relationship is to our triune God Almighty, the more you read, study and read your Bible (and long to) and pray. And the closer your relationship is to God, the more you resemble Him in the fruits of the Spirit and the more you lobe, embrace and long for truth and try to please the Lord- no that is wrong- the more you know God loves you dearly and you want to obey in return. And the more you do those things, the more driven you are to act on that knowledge and personality and stand up for what is right. And that is the natural progression of growing closer to God. And every true Christian should want to grow closer to God. They are one in the same. So I wonder stops us from standing up for the Lord? Standing is easy- perfect Love casts away all fear so fear should never be difficult out of fear. Standing can mean fighting for justice, truth, honor, dignity of life, etc. But generally standing fighting is steeped in and driven by love and truth. We cannot be ashamed or afraid or any distracting and preposterous thing like that. True Christians know that the spiritual truths of God are eternal and our future is eternal and things of the flesh are temporary, even the pain of it. And that also means the future of the lost is also eternal. And we should want their salvation more than we fear temporary pain and possible rejection. So that love drives true Christians to stand up for what is right and love people toward salvation. And I am not seeing many true Christians nowadays, just a bunch of babies who want their worldly comforts more than spiritual correctness. It is ticking me off and giving Jesus a bad name and many people should be very ashamed of that and repent. I have and am doing that now. I am not better than anyone else but just really really want us to do our part and help save the lost and stand up for God. Throw away the temporary worldly distractions and do your job. Love. Serve. Speak truth. We must. It is time.❤

Calling All Christians

As Christians, followers of Jesus Christ, we have enormous blessings and expectations. For istance, we are called to fast and pray, worship, love, be united, love more, give generously, give up selfish worldly pursuits, represent God, always speak truth, strive to understand, stand for truth, honor and please God in all we say or do, and of course read our Bible. And God expects this all and generously provides the resources to do it all. There is no excuse not to do any of these basic mandates of the faith. These are requirements, not out of duty, but out of humble obedience, love and appreciation for eternal salvation and blessings galore. And frankly, I have screwed up and am actively working to do my job better. I call you all out also to do the same. Get back to our first love and relationship with God. It is our responsibility. We are His hands and feet and things that are not being done are a result of us dropping the ball. Pick it up and run with it. God is on our side so we must obey Him. God loves us so we must love Him and other people. It needs to happen. We must do it. ❤❤❤

Jonah 3:4-10 aka How Ninevah Prevented Disaster

Jonah 3:4. “Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” 5. The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth. 6. When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. 7. This is the proclamation he issued in Nineveh: “By the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let people or animals, herds or flocks, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink. 8. But let people and animals be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. 9. Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.” 10. When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.”
