Preparing for Homeschooling

Amazingly, it is August already. August. And already the second day of August. So…

Time to prepare the best I can. Time to clean up the study spaces and work and craft spaces. Time to get books ready to go and accessible again. Time to neaten and declutter and prioritize. Time to get a new calendar and figure out field trips.

I was dreading all this prep stuff but now I am getting excited. I so love teaching my children! I feel so spoiled being able to homeschool them! Praise God for this gift!😄❤

A True Friendship is Never Lost

I have a few close friendships (I consider them adopted family/family in Christ) that have stood the test of time. The longest and closest of these is my best friend Shawn. We have been best friends since 2’s and 3’s class (ages) in Sunday school. Very few friendships go back so far and maintain through the years so well. It is a gift from God really, she is so precious. I have a couple other friendships like this, one with April goes back 13 years or better. And one friendship with Dan went back 16 years or more. This recent one it had been over 2 years since we spoke and I needed a singer for NYE this year and thought of him and he is happy to sing with us and we reconnected. And he hadjust mentioned me the day before. So cool.

These friendships are with Christian siblings and they are precious to me. We can count on each other no matter what or how long it has been. We are dedicated to each other, treasure each other, know each other and unconditionally love each other. It is amazing to have that kind of friendship for life or for long term and even cooler because they will be in heaven with me later too, as we help each other stay in thr Lord.

And if you have a friendship or two like that, treasure and appreciate it and really thank the Lord for it. It is a gift from Him. And if you do not, pray and ask Him for someone and at the right time, He will provide one. He loves to bless us. 😄❤

Power in Christian Unity

There is tremendous power in praying and fasting with other true followers of Christ. And I tell you, I know it is the Holy Spirit’s power, just a taste of it really, but God doles out a deeper strength to united fasting, prayerful Christians. Revival starts this way, miracles happen this way, governments are moved and guided this way, churches are purified this way. I am so honored by God and give Him glory for help and unity in prayer and fasting today. Praise God Almighty!!😄❤❤❤

Band Family Practice

I am in two bands, the band at church to worship God with my talent and our band that makes money playing oldies variety music to help seniors relive their good days and bring them joy all over central Florida. Tonight, we had band practice for our 5 piece band. And it is so fun. We have good clean fun and only play the best songs, always uplifting and good classic or iconic songs. And our entire band has played together for over a year and a half (and four of us for two years and three of us for five years). We have so much fun and are very much a band family. And we all need a break in our week and love getting together to jam. Even with no gigs in the summer (there just aren’t any in Florida in the summer, thank God because when there are gigs they are outside- too hot), we all still want to keep playing. Just makes us a tighter band family. And we are hoping to work on a couple more originals. So fun and exciting. It is wonderful. I love being part of two band families, and all of us are Christians in both bands. Best bandsnin the world- all get along and play great music together. So precious!😄❤

The Selling of The Minivan

We recently bought a newer suv. Our old one was still running dependably but the things wrong with it were mounting, windows and doors that did not work properly being the main issues. It was time for us to get a maintenance friendly vehicle that would work.

So I put the word out and turns out my husband’s niece needed the minivan and her husband is a mechanic so no worries on fixing it up. Praise God! She felt blessed and I was glad tonhave a good home for her.

I have had that minivan for 7 years and had 177,000 miles racked up on it. We practically lived in that van, a great van for life for us. A lot of memories were in that van. A lot of good accomplished, a lot of meaningful tasks accomplished via that tool God had entrusted to us. Now she is still being used for good in our family and will have new life breathed into her. Praise God!

And we start a new experience and tool for good. A new suv God entrusted us with to use in His service and our own. Praise God!❤
