Prayer of Safety

Please join me in spirit. Dear Heavenly Father, please keep safe every person in the path of Hurricane Irma. Please remind them that you, Almighty God, are stronger than any hurricane. Please guide and help all those evacuating and protect those staying. May your will be done. Our life is in your loving, capable hands. We love You and praise Your name forever. Thank you for your protection. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.❤❤❤

Ditch Digging Day

So here is what we have been up to. We dug a ditch around the newly screened in back porch. This needed to be done anyway, but Irma sped up the necessity. Now no matter how much rain we get, it has somewhere other than the house to go. So, just now showered after all day up to now digging ditches with Joe (our amazing handyman). Tough work it was, going through roots of our current oak tree and cut down sycamore tree, but I am happy and will sleep well tonight. ❤

God’s List of Preparedness

When God says to “Be ready for my coming draws near”, He is not talking about having a bug out bad or store of rations or millions of gallons of water stockpiled or firearms and weapons. That is for people not wanting or expecting or ready to be raptured/caught up/taken to heaven before the tribulation (see Revelation in the Bible). There is another list of preparedness we are called to. It is a list you know. 1. Be saved. 2. Confess and repent of sin. 3. Pray and read your Bible to grow your relationship with Jesus Christ. 4. Work on the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23 in the Bible): love joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control. That is God’s idea of preparedness. You follow His plan, and you are ready for anything. He is our Provider and Protection. We want to please Him and not us and we will be with Him forever. Then the details will work themselves out. And rest in His beautiful peace. Don’t get distracted or discouraged, focus on Jesus Christ. Just that. Focus and live for Him and with Him. Pray, pray, pray. Praise God!! ❤❤❤

Keeping the Blues Away

The blues are determine to sneak in through cracks in mood, slight imbalances in hormones, moments of fatigue, bad decisions by friends and family, deaths, bad drivers, memories, what have you. There is a huge potential for despair or just the blues. Yes, everyone has the opportunity for sadness, even the funnest or funniest of them. How can we keep the blues away? Well, you just can’t entirely and if you lose the ability to feel sadness, you have missed the ability to be a feeling human or live in a dream world of lies where everything is ok and we are not surrounded by evil all around us. But one way to minimize the sadness is thr simplest thing in the world and yet the most difficult thing in the world. Humility. When we are humble, we lower our demands of life, our expectations, the perfection demands, the control issues, the deserving disease. Humble closeness to God is the most beautiful and empowering thing in the world. God also helps us. ❤
