I fell off the my horse yesterday. Here is what I learned.
If you fall for a minute, brush off the dirt, mend the wounds, ask forgiveness, and get back on the horse. Falling off is inevitable in a fallen world. Staying off is a choice. Get back up there and ride. The horse will understand. The Trainer will forgive and help you. If it is muddy out, be more diligent and listen better, obey better, serve better. Use the horse to help serve more. Don’t choose to stay in the mud after a fall. Thr mud is no life. Get back on the horse. Don’t focus on thr mud beneath you, focus on the destination, the road and the Trainer.
Count on the Trainer’s wisdom and advice from the Training Manual and His Words and follow it again. Never fall off the same way again. Do your best to stay on the horse. Be humbled but not humiliated and learn from it. The Trainer will help you.❤
Some names meant something to me at one point and now are passing names. Names take on meaning in direct proportion to the dearness of the relationship. When “in love”, the name of the beloved is sweet to you. When opposed, the name of the opposition takes on a sore meaning. It is not public and varies for every person’s experience.
For me, at this point in my long life, the name of Jesus Christ is the sweetest name I know. Every other name has less meaning. I find myself just saying His name to smile and be comforted. This comes for me from a deep respect and long, historic relationship. Jesus has been the only One I trust for a long time. I have grown to depend on Him as I can with no other. I rely on Him and respect His faithfulness. Of course I find peace in His love and redemption also. Jesus Christ is the name which matters most. ❤❤❤
1 Corinthians 10:13. “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”❤
God is faithful. He is faithful to help us every time we humbly ask Him. He is always one humble n prayer away and never ceases to faithfully live us and answer our prayers. He just answered two huge personal prayers for me last night. And He helps beyond what we or anyone else can ever do ourselves. God is faithful!❤
Things affect us. Some for the better and some unfortunately for the worse. We are finite in a world system hell bent on destroying us. This is just how it is. We saved ones have a home in heaven for eternity but there are a plethora of distractions decidedly fighting for control of our viewpoint and attention.
The really cool thing is that God is far far above all that noise. There are no extenuating circumstances with Him, no contingencies, no distractions. God is the same always no matter what and is so much greater than these things that work feverishly against us. God is the clarity, the truth, the peace, the joy, the love. All that is good and limitlessly consistent and dependable is Him. God is it. If you want a rock, a fortress, a retreat, a cuddle spot, a home, God is it. Jesus (God thr Son) is our way to God thr Father. He is the only door through which to enter the eternal God for He is the bridge from the physical realm to the immortal, eternal realm we will spend eternity in. I want to enter eternity with God who is good rather than any other way. Eternity counts and is far more valuable than the spitting on it we humans do. The enemy does not want people to ponder their eternal life destination or he would lose the lie and we would reject him. God does not use trickery. It is all given to us in His Bible and He lives and deals in truth. God is not changeable n or movable. He is perfect as He is.❤
When bad things happen, Jesus is Near.
He is ever a prayer call away.
He cares every moment and loves to the stars
And always can comfort and stay.
When good things happen, Jesus is near.
He celebrates life with us.
For His love is for better or even for worse.
And He makes glad hearts joyfully trust.
When nothing happens, Jesus is Near
For every disappointment or rejection.
He comes to us even when nobody else does
And will comfort even the loneliest soul.❤❤❤
In marriage, we work out disagreements and forgive wrongs, even perpetual ones, because we have a covenant in marriage, we have history, we have children, we have a shared home, we have God as our head, we are vested. Any relationship with history is a vested relationship. We share something, have a tangible reason to be together in spirit. People in war together have this strongly because the common history is deeply powerful and meaningful. As Christians, we have that same vested interest, only with more at stake… our eternity. It is easy to think of the now, but history is a bond and tangible memory and purposeful commitment to remind us of our bond. And Jesus invested in us with great suffering and His blood, even death, before He resurrected (praise God!). He has a vested interest in us and we in Him. It amazes me how people are so apt to accept every stupid thought in the world except Jesus, the only way to be saved for eternity. But He is the only Savior vested in us and that is where our loyalties should continually lie. ❤❤❤
As Christians, followers of Jesus Christ, we have enormous blessings and expectations. For istance, we are called to fast and pray, worship, love, be united, love more, give generously, give up selfish worldly pursuits, represent God, always speak truth, strive to understand, stand for truth, honor and please God in all we say or do, and of course read our Bible. And God expects this all and generously provides the resources to do it all. There is no excuse not to do any of these basic mandates of the faith. These are requirements, not out of duty, but out of humble obedience, love and appreciation for eternal salvation and blessings galore. And frankly, I have screwed up and am actively working to do my job better. I call you all out also to do the same. Get back to our first love and relationship with God. It is our responsibility. We are His hands and feet and things that are not being done are a result of us dropping the ball. Pick it up and run with it. God is on our side so we must obey Him. God loves us so we must love Him and other people. It needs to happen. We must do it. ❤❤❤
