Testing, Testing

You can tell when a peraon has been tested. They are either wise and interesting or they are ignorant and bitter. The wise ones passed the test, you see, and the foolish ones did not know they were being tested, preferring to believe they were tried. Being tried comes with the future judgment, so testing is what we go through to grow us, hopefully. If the testing does not grow us, the result is a whiner who is bitter and finds they were treated unfairly. [The closest real thing to “fair” is “just”. “Fair” is not a realistic thing. Justice should be and God is about justice, as should we all be. “Fair” is just a gathering with amusement park rides and shows. We will see justice someday, but hope that it is mingled with mercy and grace to be palatable. But I digress.]

When (not if) we are tested, our goal is to stop from the selfish 3 year old whining before it starts and see, “What is my lesson? What is God trying to teach me?” And the moment you learn that, there is hope in the test and you see the love in it, that you really needed to know that to have deeper joy, greater peace, etc. God is so very good and that never changes, so remember that He never tests for fun. He wants you more joyful and content. He loves you.πŸ˜„β€

  1. Excellent, Tonya.
Yes, for sure, ‘God never tests for fun’.
He is always seeking to conform us, more and more, into the image of his son, Jesus. πŸ€—βš˜βš˜
