A Voluminous Day

Ever done so much in a day that you felt like it took a week? I had that day today. I started it with 3 filling-2 deep ones and one more shallow-, then homeschooling, then 2 patient consults and the drive back while in pain because I forgot to take my Tylenol for when the numbness wore off, then I had to take a nap while the Tylenol kicked in and then we had company over for games and pizza.

They just left. I feel better now and it was a good visit. There are days with relatively little in them (I can number them on one hand, but someday it will happen lol) and there are days you remember how human you are and pile too much into them. So, I have a new secret. When I have a few minutes here and there, I pray or read my Bible (the offline Bible app on my phone is a life saver)and when I have a few minutes to spare, I leave them unfilled on purpose. And I relax, read a good book, pray more, whatever fits in. God loves it when we focus on Him. This is how relationships work. You are intentional.

And in the future, I will pack much less into a day.πŸ˜„β€
