As a child, I loved those chocolate coins. I was disappointed when I first received the fake coins, but when I discovered the treat inside, I understood what a great gift they were. Somewhere along the lines, we adults miss the wonder and appreciation of finding the treasure inside. We are so wrapped up in what it looks like or appears to be or what we think it is. We need to get back to searching out the wonder like a child does. We need to be amazed and thankful when we find it. I think that would do a lot to increase joyful happiness and cut back on expectancy and disappointment. If we quit at disappointing fake coin, we never get to eat the chocolate.
